Love the dark counter tops!
Before buying any manufactured home. Inspect the exterior wall, windows trim, doors trim, corner trim . Make sure every mating and joints are sealed with sealant. Ask the salesman to remove the inspection panel for the shower and tub to ensure you that the pipes coming through the subfloor is sealed with sealant. Also check underneath the home inspect the metal frame is it rusting? All these items shall comply with 24 CFR 3280.307 RESISTANCE TO ELEMENTS AND USE. If it doesn’t comply with this code
Per 42 U.S. Code 5409 a noncompliance manufactured home is NOT to be offered for sale per the FEDERAL MANUFACTURED HOME CONSTRUCTION AND SAFETY STANDARDS ACT.😮

Yes, that is a plus for me too. The floor vents are ridiculous. Never understood why people would want a floor vent in their home.

My Champion home was delivered on 9/20 and it's 1500 sq ft and with all my upgrades and options it looks awesome! Learned about from watching your videos for the past year to find out my just haves vs needs to find the perfect layout. Picked a nice mobile home park to put it in and hoping to be in my new home at the end of the month! Keep up the good work!

@@williammacadam2416 it seems like our prices here in the middle of PA rural area are not far off from the prices quoted in the videos. Mine was under 150k with drywall walls and windows added and a few swap outs, flipped end to end and side to side due to where being placed. Overall super happy with my layout/design. I called 3 different retailers and my 3rd one paid out with a better warranty, more space and the layout as I described within my budget before they even knew my budget. Note prices from retailers do not typically include drywall. Never hesitate to call and get an idea on how much something ur looking at ballparks and then see where ya stand, you might sit better than you think. Good luck! Also I have a handicapped shower installed in mine.

I like the Hardi board siding instead of vinyl, nicer quality windows and doors and innovative layouts, a great option than a conventional stick home.

For the price point, especially in these times of high inflation and interest rates, this home seems like a decent value.
I don't know it depends. If you still need land, septic or city hooked up, have it put on the land along with price for the land this really isn't any cheaper than a stick built house of similar size on a property. It's also a big pain if you don't have land, you have to combine and land load with high interest rates to the home loan then when it's set you can combine the two into a mortgage. You might find a load that can do it all as one.bthen you have to have either well Doug or pay to hook up to city, possible septic, drive way. I would rather just buy a house in good shape of similar size, cost won't be much different when said and done. Manufactured homes have gone way up in price as well. It just depends if you have all that stuff already and just need it delivered and everything hooked to it maybe but you still be looking at the least 150,000 if all that other stuff is done already. Def wouldn't pay lot rent for land either. What if they sell or jack it way up and now you got to move it.
@@racegrubb2152 exactly! what i was thinking. The way they price all Mod homes you would be a lot better off building a stick home that won't fall apart in 20 years lol. Forget about the fancy interior, it's not high grade it just looks pretty
@loumason6120 these homes actually have higher spec requiremnets than new construction homes. Do you research. Dont just assume because of the stigma.
I bought a small 2 bed 2 bath less than 14 ft. Wide I do love it as I had bigger brick home. Bought it for WELL over 100,000 there less expensive but getting more pricier every yr. Nice home I like it

That lowkey blows away some normal houses. I cant believe that's just essentially a double wide trailer. Gorgeous. Drop it on some land that has the hookups and it's probably cheaper than buying a traditional house.

I’ve been watching your videos for a long time but I didn’t know you had two channels 😂
Manufactured homes are high as well now. My moms is a 2007 she paid 38,000 for it, around 45,000 set up. That same style, square foot without add ons is 80,000 now not set up and delivered. This one when all said and done and delivered and set up is prob gonna be close to 180,000 to 200,000 maybe more depending on the land situation.

I like the layout except that I'd like a larger utility room and no batten strips. I wonder if you could upgrade to full drywall throughout.
I did that with mine, it's a little costly with the price of drywall these days but well worth it! Mine was built and delivered 3 months ago.

That extra room would be wasted space. Could use a bigger laundry room to hang and fold. Also need a pantry.
It's got some nice features. I'm not in love with it. I'd rather have a cabinet than open shelves in the kitchen.
Big fail, in my opinion, having a window in the kitchen that doesn't open. You get lots of steam, moisture, cooking odors, and excess heat in the kitchen. A functional window is essential.

I've lived in places that don't even have a window in the kitchen, so it isn't essential. I agree it is nice, and can't see why they wouldn't put one that can open (since they were putting a window there, might as well make it a functional one).
Not the home for me personally but if you are someone in the market for simply a affordable double wide option this model certainly fits the bill 🙂

That extra family room area looks like what would have been a "den" area at one point in time.
I would change the extra room into another bedroom and put in a vent so we could watch our football and smoke...and i would have an extra closet for storage! I dont like that there isnt a pantry but if you used that for all your canned goods there are plenty of cabinets for your non perishables. We would be blessed to have a home like this. And Chance... don't go spoiling that baby...just kidding...thats what they're for.
I think this is my top favorite home because of the den as extra living/family space. Very nice, and the price is on point for what you get. This is a massive W.

Overall, a fairly decent price range by today's standards.
Metal roof, a toilet and shower. Im sold. Now to convince the wife.
Will you show the close up of the exterior mating joints to ensure me that every joint is sealed with sealant as required per 24 CFR 3280.307 Resistance to elements and use. I would also like for you to show me the metal frame to ensure me the frame is protected against corrosion (rust) as mentioned in 24 CFR 4280.307. Will you do that for the audience that is watching your video of the home?

I really like the exterior siding and the flooring. Love the pendant lights but not the countertops or the dark backsplash. I've seen the backsplash tiles in a light color that is beautiful and I have that if offered. The island needs outlets on each end. No barn doors for me, thank you very much, lol. I like the big shower. This has plenty of big windows which is important to me, and the price is right. I would like to get this as a modular.

I’d love to buy a new double wide but what would I do with the one I live in? Would someone buy it & move it maybe? Could I get the new one installed while living in the old one? Got 1/2 acre but the huge double carport was put in the backyard so that might have to go - have been told I cannot move it 😢. I own it all free & clear but can I do it?

Sheet rock walls are an option over the standard vinyl walls.

The only thing I don't like about this home are the ceiling vents. I'd be forever worried about leaks anytime it rained/when the snow on the roof melts.
