To everyone pointing out the way he said Africa, he did it on purpose so that people would comment about it and the video would get recommended to more people. That’s how the algorithm works.
i was looking for this kind of... "programs"? (idk, i'm not good at informatic things) to separate each part (instruments, vocals, etc) of the song to make midis to convert them to 8 bits XD
I went to the site to test this. I uploaded "Africa" by Toto just to test the song that was mentioned. It was a lot of fun to test an audio splitter w/o having to d/l an app to my PC to test this. Thanks for a few minutes of fun my friend. Keep posting videos, you are appreciated!
Honestly, while isolating vocals gives good results for the voice, cutting out the voice from an audio track makes the music sound... off. Not from the missing vocals, just from all the now missing portions of the instruments that pass through the frequencies the vocals shared. You can really hear it in the gaps between the vocals, where no edits were needed, and so those missing instrument frequencies pop back in.
Yeah this comes from the algorithm, so there's not much you can do except trying with another algorithm (like stemming), or using another separator. Right now I'm using Fadr most of the time!
Audio engineer here. Vocal "removal" is a myth. What it does is essentially uses phase to cancel out the middle of stereo sound field. The middle ia where the vocals is, but it's also where the drum and bass and most of the mix is as well l. Whay you end up with is a crappy garbles mess.
Ah, the ol' phase inversion! Good times. However from what I gather, it's not quite the same as Ai using temporal data training form the world's library of music to help learn and distinguish a vocal track from an instrumental one. I personally find Ai better than the old way, but that still all depends on how the mix was compiled to begin with. The more lossy a song is versus a lossless one, the more likely you're gonna get those tin-foil-ey garbled mess-ness.
@SoMiSongbird Yeah, that's the point of the rings on the jack. One is for grounding it, one is for receiving audio, and if you have a third one, it's for transmitting audio. If you mess around with the jack and don't have a proper connection on the receiving ring it'll change how it's sent.
If you are a real audio engineer, you have lived under a stone the last few years. Please note every good DJ software with STEMS (AI) feature on the market. There is a REAL vocal/melody/hihats/bass/beat separation. And complete without a "mess". My favourite software is VirtualDJ. There this STEMS function is since 2019 on board, since 2021 in version 2.0. And, this goes "live", if you have a good NVIDIA graphics card.
for anyone wondering: it doesnt ALWAYS work, some vocals may be distorted, unrecognizable, or be covered by too much noise in the song, but most of the times it is really reliable
This is especially the case for songs from Friday Night Funkin. Most of the songs inputted are usually songs with lyrics. FNF is just.... Beeps and boops to say the least. It is quite hard for the computer to recognise
I never knew something like this existed. *_*; now I can have access to limitless instrumentals! Sometimes you just wanna listen to the beat without the vocals! Thank you~!
There's a better alternative called Ultimate Vocal Removal Tool that has multiple algorithms and can split off the drums and bass from instrumental too. It was used by Au5 for his flip of Rumble by Skrillex.
What's great about this website is not only how good it is at separating vocals from the instrumentals, it also separates bass and drums out. While not perfect, other websites don't even compare to how good each separated track sounds. But the most *amazing* part is that website is run by one guy.
this is actually so cool, I used to look for vocals only and instrumental only songs and then mixed them together, now we can put singer x vocals on singer y's instrumentals
@@purplie_ it’s almost like as if I was saying I was goi to use it in my original comment, and that maybe my second one was just a joke that may or my not have gone right over your head. To be honest I’m just not sure 🤔.
