You can also right click and then hold the option key as you press "open". That saves you having to go to system preferences.

As for the audio quality, you're right, it's not the best quality but somewhat alright.

Suggestion: in the title you can add Bass, Piano, etc. Not only vocals. Then you target other audiences. Awesome video!

I'm assuming you can save the file as .mp3 from GarageBand in different configurations? ie, one track with no drums, another with drums?

Is there a location where the legal limits of use are available?
interesting concept David, that is until I discovered in order to use this information. Garage band is required, on my 2020 iMac. I have tried to use GB in the past. Have had absolutely no success using garage band on the Mac to create anything. Otherwise, looks like great fun; thanks for sharing :).

Can't you override gatekeeper without needing to go into System Preferences by Control-clicking the app in the Applications folder, choosing open from the context menu, and clicking open in the resulting dialog?
The first song I'm trying to do is "Hello Again" by The Cars. I want to hear those big drums isolated.
I´m really happy for all of you guys who succeeded to separate with this software. However, I didn´t… Why? I haven´t got a clue. I used mp3 and m4a files, I have Monterey (as all of you out there in Mac-country..?), so why can´t I separate these files. Could anyone help me? Please!

Thanks for the tip but i tried repeatedly (on iMac) and though the sys says "success" , I can't seem to locate the separated files. Seems apple blocked it even though I allowed the file to"open anyway". Hope you can give me some guidance.

Looks cool, but I've downloaded myspleeter 3 times now and tried multiple mp3 files and it always crashes. No help available either. Not a good first imipression. On brand new MacBook Pro M1 with Monterey.

My Spleeter won't create a folder. No matter where I save it to I get a message saying, "My Spleeter Quit Unexpectedly." I reopen, but it still quits.

Is it copyright if you remove the singers vocals and replace them with your own? Or does your own vocals make the cover your own and therefore ok to upload on spotify?
You can get sued for anything and I wouldn’t want to find out the hard way. :)

David, I so wish I could get this to work! I'm running Ventura O/S, and after getting past the hurdles you described and being able to paste the input and output info to MySpleeter, I get an error that says:
Separate to file (filenames inserted here, I used my correct Desktop address for output) failed: Can't load save_path when it is None.
The output address that produced this error was /Users/[my HD name]/Desktop . When I added a / after Desktop, it generated a whole page of error code. lose/lose ;-)
Got a workaround for this? Thanks! (I left this query on your FB page for this video too.)

Seems to be a load of rubbish! Downloaded and installed app twice (on M1 MacBook running Big Sur), attempted to separate various .wav, .aiff, mp3, .m4a audio files - always crashes.
Crashes repeatedly on my M1 iMac on Monterey when separating the files regrettably. Great concept though, I wish it worked for me!☹

Bummer, I can’t get it to work on my M1 MacBook Air. I will try on my MacBook Pro…….EDIT, I downloaded this on my 2017 MacBook Pro I7 and it works like a champ so maybe the issue is with the M1 chip machines, Id be interested to know if you got it to work with an M1 machine
