I am a big fan of bluey and with season 3 airing in Australia, I thought I would do a breakdown of every episode with a small review, some spoilers, and any bluey theories that might pop up. Bluey season 1 and 2 hit disney plus two months after airing in Australia so hopefully, all of season 3 will be out for everyone soon!

At first I thought this episode was weird, but then I realized it reminded me of when my mom hired a carpenter named mr. Lee to build me and my siblings' own rooms. He was friendly so I oddly treated him like a family member.
I think this episode must have taken place when Bandit was away for six weeks. Chilli is at home to look after the kids more and joins in on the girls' spying because she doesn't have someone to gossip with at the moment.

I wouldn't be surprised if it does! This is a great observation to have and the fact we don't see Bandit at ALL over 4 days backs this up!
I like how Sparky's wife name (even though it could be a nickname) is also related to electricity. Joules is a unit of energy related to electricity 😆

I really like Chippy’s design 😁 I absolutely love alternative, surfer, punk, etc. I’m not sure what categories his design falls into but it’s still my favorite character design In this show
Would definitely not call that punk. Punk was about alot of being politically active and the style evolved from poor skinheads mending their clothes with patches and reusing things like cans to make spikes. Though I definitely agree with surfer
Also wouldn’t call him alternative as to be alternative it normally has three major categories, being Politics, Music, and Lifestyle. And obviously we don’t know his politics, don’t know enough of his lifestyle, and his music isn’t quite alt.
Quite the surprise of an episode in a show FULL of them. Great moral, great new characters, fascinating easter eggs, this one has it all. My only complaint is that I wish we got to see HOW Chippy and Cherry made amends seemingly so quickly, but otherwise, this was yet another interesting episode.
Totally agree it would have been nice to show how they made up, but loved it all anyway

I am from Latin America so the first time I watched the episode it was on Spanish and the way that Sparky calls his wife was translated to "mi dueña" (my owner). At first I thought I heard it wrong. 😂

I had a lot of fun pointing out the Australianisms to my wife, but much of it is universal. My little guys Pop-pop (wife's dad) is an asphalt worker and had a guy working for him that was pretty much chippy except a lot more dramatic and problematic (his failing relationship somehow made my father in law miss our sons birth for goodness sake!)
But happy this one had a happier ending.

5 out of 5!!! My husband and I were debating what type of dog chippy was! I also told him what “tradies” meant. I’m not Aussie, but it made sense based on the episode. I can’t tell you enough how much I loved hearing more about chippy and sparky being slang too. So cool!!
Yeah even I thought he was a Borzoi too but turns out Joe Brumm doesn’t know that dog so has said no to it as a design before 😅

My biggest thing seeing Chippy show up was the chocolate milk. I know it’s a cartoon but chocolate with dogs worried me.

@@tracey5324 Another ounce of world building head canon for me is that dogs in the Bluey-verse, have allergies related to what dogs are unable to eat; onions, chocolate, grapes, avocados, garlic and a few more things. Some dogs might be allergic to chocolate, onions and all the stuff I listed out, while others developed an immunity to them as bi-pedal dogs. Allergies we have they still have, but just more dog related allergies may be prevalent there too.

My theory is that Cherry was arguing with Chippy because he refused to cut his bangs that hid his eyes, making him unable to see most of stuffs while driving, which it made him probably get into car accident or close to getting hurt incident, whch is why Cherry probably scolded him and took away car from him.
But hair is easy to see through, i do like the theory tho

I think this was the episode where I really noticed how ‘grown up’ Bluey’s voice actor has become - very prominent in their voice.

When the first truck pulls up, the music is literally just Joff screaming nonsence over the Stumpfest credits music, which is funny. Especially since this episode is kind of a continuation of that, with Chilli finally getting her fish pond.

I relate to Bluey and Bingo knowing about their parents swearing and that they aren’t allowed to say it.
My parents met and fell in love at a punk-rock bar (long story), and both sides have Irish heritage, so they could curse a sky-blue streak when they wanted. As a result, I became a little desensitized to the stigma or cursing.
Oh my gosh, I give this episode 11 long dogs. Thank for all the Aussie information. I want to live there!! I think like a fine wine, each season is more fantastic than the one before!! 😃

Hey Margie! I know there has been a lot of chaos with Bluey banning episode smoochy kiss and family meeting on Disney+, but when the new episodes were out, the banned episodes got realised too? Do you know why? 🤔🤔
My guess is that Disney + got embarrassed by everyone talking about the banned episodes and how it was kind of silly to ban them. Back in the day companies could get away with that stuff but with the internet now people know if there are episodes missing.

I always figured the clothes thing was like a work uniform since we mostly just see working dogs wearing them. It makes sense too. You have to signal in some way that you are in fact a worker and not just some random guy.
