The reason for washing rice is removing excess starch to make it less sticky. So in dishes thar require sticky rice it's best to skip that step. Arceus didn't look its best, but I would like to see if other Pokemon look better in their edible forms, so it would be cool if you could cover other recipes.
Personally, not a fan of this Pokemon cookbook. I know it's for very young kids but I just can't shake the feeling these recipes are more arts and crafts focused instead of cooking. The recipes seem very basic at best and at worse it's entirely about presentation substituting crafting supplies with food with the result of having most of it thrown away after you make the dishes and wasting food does not sit right with me. I'm still impressed with the Arceus head you made, I'm terrible at arts and crafts so mine would have looked like a complete mess. 🤣
I agree, it's less about the food and flavor and more about the looks. I can see it's value especially when doing the recipe with young children who are fans of Pokemon but I definitely don't fall within it's target demographic. Still pretty cool it exists though but I hope one day they turn out a legit Pokemon cookbook with some bangin dishes
Honestly, as someone who has the cookbook, I'd say it *isn't* meant for very young kids. A lot of the designs are extremely complicated. Another issue is that it's very clearly made for a near-exclusively Japanese audience rather than an international one and assumes you'll have access to a lot of very Japanese ingredients and tools such as various sushi devices.
@@BJGvideos I think they werent saying about the cooking itself but about the target of who will eat the foods, the recipes can be kinda hard to be made but its not about making but the food itself, it can be difficult but its very simple dishes more focused on presentation than on the food
Man, I gotta say how much I appreciate your channel! I've been watching your videos the past couple of weeks and I wanted to make sure my first comment lets you know how much I love the combination of my 2 fav hobbies-gsming and cooking. You're awesome!
Thank you so much for the kind words! I really appreciate the support and I'm just glad to be able to share my two passions with people like you who love the same things. YOU'RE Awesome!
You really need to make a legends of zelda botw cookbook video. Ik it came out a while ago but it has a bunch of great stuff I think you would like cooking
Yes, the photo of the Pokeball is definitely saturated, it shows with the salad. Also, the bright orange color on the salmon is artificial so this is good that yours is not like that or at least not as much. You could have a similar result with marinated tomato of even a fresh half carved tomato, would be 100% more accurate.
I honestly have no idea why people think this game looks bad. Sure some textures are a bit weird but that's really it. Shame the book doesn't have a recipe for potato mochi! Though my god if my character doesn't eat some vegetables soon she's gonna die of constipation. Maybe I could get something from the pickle lady but she doesn't sell her wares despite a menu VERY clearly displayed outside her building!
I was seeing all the content you made and I wondered could you make the perk colas from call of duty? the ones I would like to see is quick revive Juggernog speed cola and double tap you can research the other colas on your own time and if possible could you make a version with a bit of alcohol and one without alcohol? thanks
Interesting, I'm not very familiar with those but they sound cool. I'll look them up one day
Před 2 lety+1
Honestly: I kinda wonder if the Arceus Sandwich would taste better if you would use the store-bought sesame paste. =/c I think it would call for a redo with the right ingredient. ;3
I've really been getting into Pokemon Arceus too! Too bad the cookbook is a little underwhelming, but I'd love to see you try more of the recipes
Will do! And yeah the game has been great so far!

Good point about the rice! And yeah there are other recipes in the cookbook that I wanna try so I'm sure I'll revisit it again
Just found your channel after the destiny 2 cookbook was in my recommended and I'm loving your content! Keep up the great work!
Welcome to the channel and thank you for your support!
Both of them are valid options to have as a nice snack
Ps you should make some sort of recipe from adventure time

This cookbook is definitely more about making food look like pokemon than making pokemon inspired dishes.
100% agree!
Man, that arceus sandwich wouldn't be nice to eat. But the pokeball sushi would be good choice for me
Pokeball Sushi is pretty good and fairly easy to make! 👍

I really wish it went into lore honestly
Imagine if we got stuff like rare candies

@@tarus94 Eh, it looks like stuff I'd have eaten as a kid. I think my five year old niece would eat everything in the cookbook.
he ate god and said it was nothing special 😳
Finally, sushi rice seasoning recipe! Been looking for this for ages! (Love the subtitles for them too 😂)
Really been enjoying your videos, keep it up!
Thanks, will do!

wow, i didn't know there was an official cookbook
Make the curries from sword and shield!
I made 2 of them! They're at the very end of my "Ranking Pokemon Curries" video. Check it out! czcams.com/video/Oqth1lYgq9o/video.html
I guess Nintendo was out of ideas for recipies so they just crammed random sandwich stuff in this.

The sandwich looks better, but it kinda lacks meat imo, especially the black-sesame-paste one? Idk it looks kinda empty.
Yeah I agree. I do like me some meaty sandwiches
@@MisoHungrie same besides peanut butter and jelly and peanut butter and marshmallow cream
Might have to try make the Pokeball Sushi with my nieces and nephews, seems like something they'd love to help out with (: Thanks!
Yeah I can see kids having a lot of fun with that recipe, especially if they love Pokemon 🙂
My goodness, you deserve more subscribers!
Thank you! Maybe one day 😁
The sushi PokeBalls don't look bad.
Pokemon Arceus is the perfect game to play while listening to a MisoHungrie video, perfect combo :)
That sounds like a good mix for sure! 😁
Oh cool, that's the rice I buy!!! I love that I dont have to rinse it

Ooo the tomato idea is pretty neat. Would definitely look a lot closer in color
I just found out that avatar the last airbender has a cookbook.
I gotta check that out, thanks!
I'd rather they'd focused on foods shown in the show and movies.
Yeah I wish the cookbook was like that as well

Theres a really old Shrek cookbook that is also targeted at younger demographic. Might be worth a try if you can find it.
Ooo I don't think I've heard of that one. I'll check it out
Vuuuuuuuuuuuuu new vid
I feel like the more artsy the recipes are the worse they taste.
Yeah I feel that
Who cares if arceus is not hyper realistic. The models for the mon look good and the hane is the most fun pokemon game to day
What the hell are the first two sandwiches they do not sound good at all
make a review of a starwars cookbook
Will look into it!
Hey Miso, can You Try to do "Bonk! Atomic Punch!" from team fortress?
Never heard of it but I'll check it out!
The book probably used smoked sockeye salmon, it's much redder in color
