The part where you forgot to hit record was kind of encouraging. I always struggle with tech issues and it's good to see the pros with much bigger channels have issues too. Showing you don't have to be on top of everything to have a popular channel.
Didn't know dango were boiled! Based on how in the game they seem to have ovens and you see a lot on display with scorch marks, I always assumed they were baked or grilled. Interesting to learn!
They can be steamed as well! And some are grilled, the first one that comes to mind is the Mitarashi Dango, that one is roasted over a campfire of some sorts, and that's why it has those scorched marks! Also served with some delicious sweet soy sauce :D But yeah, it can be grilled over fire, steamed on a bamboo basket but also boiled just like this!
What a fun little ditty at the beginning, I didn't know you could sing. Your reason as to why you used food gels to color the dango instead of the liquid version is a good one: These dango look great as a result of your reasoning, well done. I also like how creative you were with the fillings
You've inspired me to try cooking dango: it seriously always felt unattainable until this video. Thanks for a great video and an awesome break down. I just recently discovered your page and I'm loving it so far :)
So tempting to try to the Mint-ature! I've got a fairly large Asian supermarket very close by I could probably find the right flours at. And I can think of a few smaller ones I could probably search too. It's also really cool to see how versatile dango is!
I absolutely loved this! Honestly one of my favourite videos of yours, I would love to see you try out the other dango flavours from Monster Hunter - only if you want to of course! I always find these videos super chill and comforting, but something about this one in particular really hit the spot. I hope you have a great day! :)
This is the best dango video I have found. You make the dango with actual different flavours and fillings. Other videos just make regular dango and only add food colouring, no flavour!
This is really cool. Can we see you making more videos like this? Where we see you try to make something from a video game, I really like how you interpreted it from a item description.
When you said you prefer the feasts from world I honestly do agree. The bunny dango is cool but I'd much rather have a full blown feast before I hunt than a light snack. I haven't actually played any monster hunter games other than rise but I've seen the feasts and they look amazing
Would love to see more of your interpretations of video game foods - your ingenuity in this is really evident! As always, great content. Super underrated.
Big of a late comment, but I hope you end up making all the dango flavours eventually Also I think the sweetheart one is a brown sugar or raw sugar dango since we see other dango in the game be pure white
I think the lack of filling is because it would’ve been far easier if the book suggested to freeze the fillings, most of them weren’t exactly solid, and then wrap the dough around it. It shouldn’t cause any problems since they get boiled as well. I usually do it when I make chocolates or other foods that have runny fillings, like cookies or soupy dumplings. I pour it into silicone molds since they’re much easier to pop out that way, but ice cube trays work perfectly fine too. I don’t blame you at all for that, with that technique i can’t stuff them much either. They looked so fun pretty and colourful though, I’m thinking of keeping it as a birthday idea instead of western style treats, they’re usually too heavy for me.
The main character of the game strangely looks familiar and a bit like you, especially when he does goofy faces while eating the dango xD. More seriously thanks for all the tips for dango-making it inspires me to try them ! I also loved when they were all boiling in your pan they looked like colorful toy balls dancing xD
I wish you make more of Monster Hunters dangos! Would love to see you remake this video some time in the future too because I feel your first reactions to the food adds so much to the viewing experience. Cheers! 🍡
I just wanna say i really enjoy your videos :) i found your channel a year ago through your pokemon curry video and i've really enjoyed all the videos. Its really cool how you make video game related recipes! :)
hey i know i'm late, but i thought that it would be a great idea if you tried cooking some of the food wars (or shokugeki no soma) recipes! i would love to see your reviews and how exactly you cook the recipes!
Hey miso just wanted to let you know that a new cookbook just dropped it’s the halo cookbook to be exact I would love to see you make a cookbook review on it also love the channel all the food looks very yummy ❤️❤️❤️❤️
These look delicious. Even without a recipe to follow it seems like they turned out well. I saw that Monster Hunter has a cookbook out, I wonder what kinds of recipes are in there?
Please, you must do a Naruto cook book soon. One more video idea. I want to know more about you and how you became one of my favorite CZcams chefs. :) Thank you, and keep up the amazing videos.
The intro song was very fun😂Also, do you have any favorite cuisines? I always have a hard time picking, but Italian and Moroccan are at least two of mine
Hmm there are so many great cuisines to choose from. Might be a cop out answer but it's a tie between Filipino, Japanese, Korean, Indian, Hakka, there's too much!
@@MisoHungrie I gave two, so I definitely cannot talk about picking only one😂Those sound really good too! I wish I could say I've tried them all, but I will one day
I feel somewhat sorry for the Hunters in this game. Like, in previous games you had this massive menu of meat, fish, bread, vegetables, dairy and drinks to choose your menu from and in Rise the hunters are limited to a diet of only Dango and a cup of tea to go along with it. Frankly, I suspect most nutritional needs these days are satisfied using consumables on quests...
I've made homemade dango before. Plain and matcha flavor and they tasted terrible. You make me want to try again. Adding powder sugar and flavorings? How would have thought?
Before I randomly stumbled upon this video I had to go to a special Japanese restaurant just to eat dangos. But after watching this masterpiece I can finally cook them myself. Huge props to you, you inspired me to cock for the first time and that was great
15 seconds in and I get ptsd from that terrible nursery rhyme song. I'm so glad sunbreak didn't have that garbage. On the other hand, great job on the presentation and preparation of those "absolutely not ment for mass consumption or any sort of proper meal whatsoever" candies.

I swear, we need a Monster Hunter cookbook. It could have both foods from the games and dishes based on the monsters themselves.
There's a japanese version and I wish they would translate it!
The part where you forgot to hit record was kind of encouraging. I always struggle with tech issues and it's good to see the pros with much bigger channels have issues too. Showing you don't have to be on top of everything to have a popular channel.
Yeah I mess up all the time haha. So many times I have to fix things up in editing 😅

Thanks so much 😊
I had sweet soy glazed dango at a tea garden recently after wanting to try them for ages. They were SO GOOD
I gotta try making that soy sauce glaze next time!
That mint one is the stuff of dreams! The color, the Oreo filling... lemme at it!
Sooo goood!
You've inspired me to try cooking dango: it seriously always felt unattainable until this video. Thanks for a great video and an awesome break down. I just recently discovered your page and I'm loving it so far :)
Welcome to the channel! Yeah dango is pretty easy, I'm sure yours will turn out great!
That was awesome!! I love how creative you got interpreting the descriptions. The chocolate heart was a stroke of genius!!
Yeah I got lucky I spotted those chocolate hearts in the grocery store. Thanks for watching!
Thank you for another wonderful video
It's super easy! Just mix a few ingredients and boil em. Yeah the flours might be hard to find but good luck!
Now THIS is the most important Monster Hunter guide.
So tempting to try to the Mint-ature! I've got a fairly large Asian supermarket very close by I could probably find the right flours at. And I can think of a few smaller ones I could probably search too. It's also really cool to see how versatile dango is!
Yeah it's surprisingly customizable and I think there should be more attempts at flavored dango out there!
I absolutely loved this! Honestly one of my favourite videos of yours, I would love to see you try out the other dango flavours from Monster Hunter - only if you want to of course! I always find these videos super chill and comforting, but something about this one in particular really hit the spot. I hope you have a great day! :)
Thanks, glad you liked it! I definitely wanna try the other flavors as well - there's so many of them!
I came to know about dango from Clannad. Now I'm depressed and hungry.
Eat the sad away with the dango. The sweet rice should soothe the salt of the tears.
This is the best dango video I have found. You make the dango with actual different flavours and fillings. Other videos just make regular dango and only add food colouring, no flavour!
always thought dango was hard to make, now i’ve seen your video in seriously considering making some. great vid!
It's pretty easy! Hardest part was to add flavoring but that's optional
Love your cookbook videos but I like it when you change it up and just do video game foods. Great job my dude.
This is really cool.
Can we see you making more videos like this?
Where we see you try to make something from a video game, I really like how you interpreted it from a item description.
I would love to! I'll definitely look to do more in the future
Been binging your videos for a few days now. You've really sparked my interest in trying these dishes. Subbed!
Thanks for the sub and glad you like the videos!

More to come! Thanks for watching 😄
This is what I was looking for when I looked for Bunny Dangos on CZcams. But please do the rest of them.
Big of a late comment, but I hope you end up making all the dango flavours eventually
Also I think the sweetheart one is a brown sugar or raw sugar dango since we see other dango in the game be pure white
I'd love to do more of the dangos! There are just so many of them tho so I just gotta find the time 😅
I think ill like the mint splosion but with a secret heart filling. chocomints have always been my weekends.
Chocolate + Mint is one of the best food combos!
I think the lack of filling is because it would’ve been far easier if the book suggested to freeze the fillings, most of them weren’t exactly solid,

Monster hunter food animation is like 99% of the production money imao
I thought the same Lmaooo

Thanks! Yeah I'd love to do more flavors and next time I'll be recording for sure 😅
@@MisoHungrie Yeah, better make extra dangos just in case the recording mess up again so you can retake it.
Been playing this all week, made my day!
I found this channel like a week ago, and I was just thinking how I'd love to see some monster hunter recipes!
I gotchu!
Wow grate video cant wait to see another
I'll have to try dango one day. Good video miso.
This one is really cool! Gonna wanna try this, if I can source the ingredients lol.
Asian markets will be your best friend
Go for it!
great video as always
Wow,you're great at cooking and always have fun!
You're living the dream,MisoHungrie!😎
Love these intros Vern! Your Dangos look soo good!!

Nice colorful Dango
Love your videos bro keep up the good work and I hope you have a great day 💓
Thanks man! You have an awesome day yourself 😃
Having used shiratamako and mochiko I prefer shiratamako because it's way too easy to over water mochiko
Love your videos man 🎉😅
Now that I know how to make dango, I want dango. I also want to make the dango milk from Genshin Impact.
hey i know i'm late, but i thought that it would be a great idea if you tried cooking some of the food wars (or shokugeki no soma) recipes! i would love to see your reviews and how exactly you cook the recipes!
wow, you've really grown! i've been here since like 7k!
Thanks for staying around! I hope you're liking the videos 😄
Absolutely! i sure hope you'll make more cookbook reviewing videos, but you might just run out of them!
For the Fruit Flash dango, maybe you could try adding Fruit Gushers to the center? They're really sweet and juicy

@@MisoHungrie yeah!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I’m watching the video now!!! I’m excited!!!
You should make videos on the Determined, Unusual and Grandiose flavors!!
I might work my way up to those!

Oh man I would love an english translation of the MH cookbook!
Great vid as always. Hope you revisit the topic once the next MH comes out (be it MH7 or Sunbreak+)
Great video
Maybe an egg custard filling for the dizzlybloom?
Good idea Vel!! You always have great taste 👍
Review the Halo cook book!
Good song !
MisoHungrie, why does that flour look like a certain white powder 🤔 good video as always, dango is always a good time

I Crimson Valstrax ambushed the Subscribe button and like button.
You got a Spotify link for that banger at the beginning of the video
LOL unfortunately not haha
*Hi man i love your content and i was wondering if you are gonna make a video about the Halo cookbook?*
Coming Soon!
Can you try some zelda recipes or the botw cookbook

Yeah I would love to be a hunter in World. I probably would never leave the canteen
Mint Oreo’s? I’ve had After Eights before, and I thought they were disgusting! Might be more your thing, though…
I've made homemade dango before. Plain and matcha flavor and they tasted terrible. You make me want to try again. Adding powder sugar and flavorings? How would have thought?
Yeah the sugar definitely helps and I also wanna experiment more with other types of fillings
Can you do the Halo cook book please?

When making the big sized dango like in the game, is it better to boil it or steam it when cooking due to size?
Hmmm good question. It might be better to steam them so they can cook evenly due to their large size but it's something worth experimenting
too many ads but good content
What are the white and black seeds places on top?
Holy shit just a few minutes ago
milk
15 seconds in and I get ptsd from that terrible nursery rhyme song. I'm so glad sunbreak didn't have that garbage.
