    I like that you keep the middle seats but still make it possible to extend the platform for the night setting. Thank you for the video.

      I have several children and wanted to keep the functionality of the middle seats. This was the best compromise I could think of on the spot.

    After seeing the carpet, I like it better than the wood. Looks closer to factory

      Robert Burns agreed. Carpet made a huge difference for me.

      John Coaltrain Nicely done. 👍 Carpet does make a major diff. Had plush carpet installed w 3” foam piece underneath for the back inside of my 2000 B2000 Mazda truck, once I got the Shell put on. 👍😁 Made for some comfy camping trips! Also nice job on the 4Runner. 👍Have same year bought her brandy new back in the Day! 😳🙄😆She’s got 171K and still going strong! 💪🏻😊

      ladydi4runner great idea on the foam! I bought my 4Runner when it was 2 years old, and it already had 88,000 miles on it! I’m at 200k now. Still loving it!

      Really, the only "formal training" I ever got in construction was from technical theater in high school. Ha. Everything else has been from trial and error.

    Very good job! Can I know how much did it cost you? I would like to do the same in my car :)
    Thank you!!

    • @johncoaltrain9485
      @johncoaltrain9485  Před 4 lety +3

      Heloise Drieux Honestly, I didn’t really keep track of the cost. The most expensive part will be the drawer glides. You can save a little money going with smaller glides, but my recommendation is to save up for the full-sized ones. I hate to steer you wrong, but I’d say $200??

    • @heloisedrieux92
      @heloisedrieux92 Před 4 lety

      @@johncoaltrain9485 Thank you for your answer! For me the glides are importants so I won't save money on that. I'll try to do as good as you ;)
      Thanks for your creativity!

    Does that block the spare tire access ? Thanks

    • @johncoaltrain9485
      @johncoaltrain9485  Před 5 měsíci

      No. The spare tire is on a winch system below the vehicle frame. To drop the tire winch, you access a small port that sits between the rear bumper and these drawers. It isn’t obstructed.

    That's amazing! Im building a similar box for my land cruiser 100 series. Which picture hangers are those?
