@@HikingMishap I went and finished the hike this year (so over two years). Super impressed with your one-year trip. Oh BTW, I laughed my a** off with your comment in farout about wearing your tent 15 miles north of Rawlins entering the basin proper. It was a hilarious image for that long lonely stretch :D. (Happily, in late August there were hardly any bugs.)
@@HikingMishap ach, yeah I definitely had sympathy for ya... Sometimes you are trapped and have to improvise 😮💨. Some people would have called the Bairol baptist church up the road and gotten the hell out. Better to have a handy tent. 😎

Happy Birthday 🎂 I had the same issue with my Altras and switched to Hokas and haven't had any issues.
Topos were my solution. Never looked back
