People forget that Don Sheldon ran this canyon four times in one day, in an airplane. Eight Army Scouts attempting to run up the rapids had to rescued after their boat was destroyed. He rescued seven from the middle of the canyon and one three miles below it. Four times he landed in the water near the top of the canyon and backed down the rapids in his Aeronica sedan, picked up two survivors from a rock and then backed down the rest of the canyon then took of and land the men at Curry before making the next trip. Doing it in a kayaks amazing and hats off to those who do it!
This is awesome! When I read the book Fast and Cold and the author’s description I had sweaty palms. You guys did a great job and I hope to see more Alaskan adventures.

Such an incredible story. I wish there was a video of this too!
great footage, makes you want to see more! a good example of skill, courage - and wisdom in choosing when to paddle and when to portage.
Nice! Been waiting for a modern treatment of Devil's Canyon! Great content!

This is a great video. I need to jump in this river. Looks more intense then the Royal Gorge rafting.
the river is brutal there. That part you chose to avoid, I'm sure it takes no prisoners.
Lol I love the “Oh don’t do that” at 0:34
The videography is exhilarating, the audio tracks are on point! Well captured and presented!!!!!
You guys landed at my home!
I don't usually see anyone float down to gold creek lol.
Is kayaking down the hill a prerequisite for this stretch? 'Cause everyone does it. That looks fun
