Vector PFD
Engineered for paddlers, by paddlers, the fully-featured Vector PFD redefines safety. With superior comfort and mobility, the Vector's enhanced rescue features give whitewater paddlers and rescue professionals the confidence to push their limits safely.
The innovative Orbit Fit System uses thin layers of preformed foam to create a circular wrap design that truly conforms to individual bodies. A recovery stroke uses the blade and the body to prevent capsizing. The low recovery is a reliable stroke that will improve confidence in dynamic conditions. When your kayak goes off balance, push down on the back of the blade with your elbow slightly above the paddle shaft, and straighten the boat using your hips and legs.

Horrific swim! Great rescue..... May I ask why you didnt get out your boat with a bag when you first eddied out and saw him getting worked in the top hole? Im not having a go at all, im just curious on the decision. Thank you
whoa, weird gesticulations
Thats just about the best paddle movie I ever seen
can u do video on the Jukdo board..
Hi! We plan on having a video for the Jukdo in the near future. Stay tuned!
This will definitely be my next pfd. I tried one on at Winni River Days this weekend and it fits way better than any pfd I’ve ever worn. I wish it was available in orange.
I have a gash that is about 2 inches long. Immediately next to the fin is attached to the board. Mine is the body glove performer. It’s an older model and the fins look like they’re just glued or attached to the board. They don’t come out. the rip is right next to where those are attached the board the only way to patch. It is going to be with a patch that goes from the soft flexible material of the board and then go onto the hard plastic of the fit itself. I don’t know if if that’s even possible.
But Its always on a seam

Great adventure and excellent video, thank you for sharing. Always interesting to hear from the local Hopi and Navajo how these changes have really affected them over time. We really need to evaluate the next 100 years before moving forward with a new river contract in 2026. Securing the Navajo their promised share of all this water being wasted for profit downstream is critical after all this time and what Glen Canyon Dam did to the area.
Is this good for towing tubing in water?
We are so stoked to have this life jacket! Thank you Danny and NRS for making something we really needed
Thanks. Just received one.
what if the leak is half an inch from a seam? can i putch the patch over a seam?
the inside piece fell into my dinghy when i was changing my check valve and i cannot get it out. how would i put a new check valve in. thank you
Hi! Please email service@nrs.com with some photos of what you are working with and one of our Customer Experience Specialists will be able to assist you further!
Such a relief to roll up after being flipped in an eddy line or rapid. My best advice is to have a step by step plan for the roll and practice talking yourself through those steps. When an eddy line flips you over focus on following the steps, roll up, then worry about the river.
I just find out after gluing every thing together that the gasket is upside down… Is it ok? Is there a big difference?
Hi! If the gasket is inside out, that is fine. If it is upside down, there might be issues. Please feel free to email service@nrs.com with some photos and we'll be happy to take a further look.
Great information and choice of music
That was terrifying to watch! Glad he's ok.
Wow great description
The boat it has to be inflated when you are putting the patch?
While not always necessary, or possible, to have the boat inflated when applying patches, folks can often find the process to be easier when the tubes are inflated.
Really great to see this stuff. One thing I never did get about tying the paddles to the thwart for portaging. I've tried it, and it's very comfortable but predominantly I just use a portaging thwart. Since I've only ever fallen while carrying a canoe with a portaging thwart, I can't quite understand how safe or dangerous it might be to fall while carrying one with lashed paddles. In any event, a portaging thwart can be hand-made out of wood just like the overall canoe itself, so it seems like it would be compatible with the keewaydin ethos.
Worked perfect. Ironically when I first put it on the life jacket I was worried it might slip off. No worries now.
wow!
I knew there was a camera crew but, I had no idea this film was even in existence. My husband, BILL Gribbb, who spoke os JWPowell was a god, was part of this expidition. He was very sick at this time..and I was very concerned about him taking this trip. Tom and crew took good care. I had no idea this film was dedicated to him. He would be so humbled. I am so proud. Thank you, Tom Minckley, for your kind gesture.
Thank u saved my life I feel like
Interesting…. I made a comment of the unsafe technique of shoulder yoke using paddles for the portage, sticking neck into a box. Comment was removed from your list! Video shows lady with neck stuck and canoe falling to ground. There is a safe way to do this!
Nice! Very helpful as we search for lodge-based kayaking in Italy.
From cannon building to canoe building and wooden furniture, great!
wow...best film ive seen in a while !!! soundtrack is perfect too ! good work
Your promo videos and website for this are nice and all, but what I really want to know before I commit is how many rivers in my area (Connecticut) are actually in the system? It looks like a great app, but it's only useful if it's really really loaded with data for rivers everywhere, not just certain rivers. For instance, American Whitewater has almost nothing for my state.
Beautiful boys! 🔥

Thank you for sharing your journey with us, Helena ❤😎
Best interview segment ever

The name and description within the video and your web site are terribly confusing! I think you have *two* separate items, which just happen to be sold together: A quick-change pad, with enclosing sides (great idea!) -- *and* a conventional duffle bag. Correct? I'll bet if you make this cleaerer to potential buyers, and offer the quick-change pad as an optional solo item, you will sell a lot more.
I'm interested to know what folders you were using?
Hello! What exactly do you mean with 'folders'? If you mean the kayaks: we used the Nortik Navigator and Argo... hope that helps.. cheers, Jens

Awesome thank you 😊
Groundbreaking
Re-entry post expedition can be the most enduring chapter of the entire experience. Communicating what you just lived to others often falls on def ears. This was a magnificent capture of what a journey like this can mean. More people to the river is all that stands in the way.
Great info, thanks. I've got PVC tubes and the tape/band that holds the tubes to the rigid hull have come away. I was thinking to use acetone to clean and g-flex to bond. Is that what you'd do?
If the rigid hull is ABS plastic or fiberglass, acetone and g-flex would be the right choice.
What a wonderful place
Siobhan is the Monahan family home run!
This video is so special to me! I’m from Albany as well, Husum was my first waterfall and I had the same line my first time, and Alzheimer’s has had huge affects on my family as well. This honestly means so much as a kayaker, thanks for sharing!
Do we really need to make up new terms and names for something that has had the name "low Brace" for decades.
they're not the same thing, low brace is a preventive stroke you use to support your balance when needed, low recovery is used to recover your position when you are capsizing
