6th grade history in germany is about greece, egypt and rome so definitely not pearl harbour but i guess thats not the scale
As an Austrian I gotta say that at least for us it heavily depends on the teacher - some prefer starting history with the creation of the world others focus on the more current and important parts so another class at my school has learned about WWII including Pearl Harbour at that time whilst my class learned it a year later

2) in Germany the US side just isn't focused on as much, but there's rather a focus on the European side of the war and a lot about how Hitler even managed to get from a democratic republic to a totalist dictatorship in a pretty short amount of time with a ton of supportest (the exact way of propaganda, speeches of him and other important German polititians, mein Kampf, et cetera) as well as a lot about the KZs most people probably could know that Japan started the war with the US but there's probably quite a bunch which wouldn't be able to name "Pearl Harbor" specifically
