*Thoughts:* Turkey, what more needs to be said? One of the consistently best Eurovision countries, always bringing fresh, original and exciting songs. I love almost every song on this list (the only exception really being their questionable 2011 entry) and they've produced multiple of my all time favourite ESC songs. I don't even have strong feelings about the rock genre, but their rock songs are so incredible that Deli and We Could Be the Same are actually my winners of their respective years. My favourite Turkish entry overall, however, would actually be Sebnam Paker's 'Dinle'.
@@joegriffiths2593 i have a rough ranking for them already!! just need to figure out where to put their stranger 2000s entries :,)
@@eurovisiongal7007 bAbY i'M tHe wOrRyiNG kiND
@@wystxrr oh, no, my mind is already long since made up about that one 😌
@@eurovisiongal7007 Estonia would be nice too
@@eurovisiongal7007 Also, I want to see Portugal
Turkey often used their traditional instruments, and I like it, but my fav is We Could Be The Same.
that's actually why i quite like rimi rimi ley even if the performance was really off, it's a cool song with a traditional vibe
Such a shame they withdraw. We could the same, Deli and of course Love me back are just so amazing!! And dum tek tek is of course iconic.
superstar is my fav. such a guilty pleasure i love it so much
i don't love it as much as the others tbh :,( but it was still deeply iconic.
I also love it
Düm Tek Tek and Everyway That I Can are my favourites
I miss Turkey ❤🇹🇷
The same favorite.
(Manga is my winner of Esc 2010)
I also like "Love me Back", it's a lot of fun.
I really miss and will be glad if Turkey comes back.
:"(
They're my winner of 2010 too :) I actually saw an article that said they'd want to return to ESC if Lena came back too... what an iconic standoff that would be!
@@eurovisiongal7007,
I know, I saw your video. :)
So we can not wait for them. :"D
I don't think Lena will want to return (if only she wants to become the "savior of Turkey")
But seriously, why exactly she? It's a bit strange.
@@dramadory5329 I think it was kind of in a jokey way bc they were like "Lena, we want a rematch!!" since they were the runners up. I wish I could find the article again! :,( I think that's one of the only times they've addressed ESC directly, usually they're just like "it's been nearly ten years lol, who cares". But yeah, both the artists have solid careers so I wouldn't expect a return from either of them. Oh well, they sent amazing entries, and two from Lena is more than I could ask for :)
@@eurovisiongal7007,
I took this joke too literally. :"D
Anyway, hope that their return to the Eurovision will be grandiose.
(To be honest, I like "Taken by a Stranger" more than "Satellite" if I have two Lena's songs to choose from)
@@dramadory5329 oh me too actually! don't know if you peeped my 2011 video but taken by a stranger is actually my favourite of that year
can't wait to come back!!

2011 is terrible
2012 isnt my thing
rimi rimi ley is a bit of a mess
shake it up shekerim is what i always sing whenever i get told to do something
dum tek tek is a tune so yeah
rimi rimi ley is a bit of a mess, but it's not really her fault... she was treated horribly by the delegation, i think the worst i heard was that they refused to let her rehearse on stage and she had to practice with her dancers in the women's bathroom of the arena. so sad, but imo she put on a great performance regardless.
@@eurovisiongal7007 yeah fair enough... after watching again its not awful

the top 6 are amazing songs
Turkey was a good country in Eurovision. Hell, in their final years, they managed to send the best stuff they got! Apparently president Erdogan is the main reason why Turkey had withdrawn. Hopefully we might see them back someday! Anyway, here's my opinion!
13. 2006 - 1,5/10
Annoying vocals. I hate this one.
12. 2001 - 4,5/10
Just a forgettable ballad, nothing too bad.
11. 2007 - 5,5/10
I've never seen anything special about this song. I have no idea how this finished in 4th place.
10. 2002 - 6/10
The song is alright, but it sounds rather weak. Maybe it's the poor quality of the early 2000s shows.
9. 2003 - 6,5/10
Just an okay winner. Never saw anything particularly special about this one as well. Sure, it's catchy, but really nothing else.
8. 2005 - 6,5/10
Weak vocals, but a nice melody and a good instrumental.
7. 2000 - 7,5/10
Good ethnic entry, the vocals match perfectly with the instrumental. However, something is missing from that song...
6. 2004 - 8/10
We rarely get any ska genre entries, so it was good to get this one. While I'm not the biggest fan of the genre, this song sounds good and is catchy!
5. 2009 - 9/10
Ah, a classic one. It is a bit overplayed, though, so that's the only reason why this one isn't higher.
4. 2012 - 9/10
Man, the vocals sound great and the overall flow of the song is awesome! Kind of a catchy chorus as well! What a way to go out of the competition!
3. 2011 - 10/10
Really underrated. Sure, the vocals wasn't perfect, but it does not affect my enjoyment of this hard rock song whatsoever! It was clear that the performance was inspired from Manga, but with their own twist! I also love the guitar riffs in this one. Definitely one of my favourites from 2011!
2. 2008 - 10/10
One of the best alternative rock entries in Eurovision. I can hear Muse influences, only with a harder tone! Once again, I love the guitar riffs, and the vocals are spot on!
1. 2010 - 10/10
This entry had it all. The performance, the staging, the vocals, topped off with an epic song! The track gives me both alternative rock and nu metal vibes and it fuses together in a sound of awesomeness! My winner from 2010. Fantastic entry.
MaNga are also my winner of 2010 and one of my favourite ESC entries ever :) Such a great fusion of genres and insane performance.
I actually have been having some trouble ranking early 2000s songs. I haven't heard many of them before but they often seem... really bland, rather forgettable. I guess those contests weren't so strong.
And here's my rank:
1) 2008
hey, in that case we have two winners in common, deli and origo :) i do have some weird fondness for 'shake it', but yeah, athena were better!
@@eurovisiongal7007 Shake it is kind of my guilty pleasure, tho I'd rather see (North) Macedonia at 3rd
