I'm preparing to do this same job. Thanks for posting this! What do you think about using a c clamp to press the bushings in instead of hammering, especially on the front ones that have to be done in place?

You can try a c-clamp although you may need to use fender washers (or something like that) to spread out the pressure. Up front might be aggravating because of the arms.
Let me know how it works out.

Too funny. I was going to text the same message about the C-clamp. I have to do this with mine because it's way out of control

@@BillyP-49Chevy For what it’s worth, I wound up trying the C- clamps and it didn’t work. I had to hammer them in. But then again my machine has a fair bit of corrosion. There was a couple bushings I couldn’t even get out

Small reverse pulley like the one you use on a harmonic balancer

Easier way to replace bushings in front . Longer bolt through shallow socket larger washers, crank down nut . Basically a small press.

Good idea!! I'll take any good idea. Next video I make that I use that, you're getting credit!

@@thewayididit6641 just make sure socket sits on outside metal flange of bushings. If its pressed on center rubber its wont move. Good luck

what about the blocks what distance you put apart since they ajust too ..

I didnt set a specific distance. Everything was adjusted to have good lever position, no motion with static levers and good forward speed.
I dont have any documentation that specifies a distance for any steering component.
