  • So proud of little Biscuit as we ventured to some more busy and crowded places today for field trips.
He is working through his third and final week of his Teachers Pet Puppy Camp board and train program with us and really starting to piece all of his training together as we start working out and about in the real world.
He is still young, so we of course can’t push him or expect him to be perfect (no dog is “perfect”).
What we can do is keep building confidence, calm existence, positive exposure and good behavior in new and more challenging locations as he continues progressing and maturing.
We still want to take things slow and set him up for success by controlling as much as we can, but need to start broadening his horizons.
Our job is to prepare him for life in our big, scary and crazy human world that he will be living in for many years to come with his wonderful family.
We don’t want him to be fearful, insecure, out of control or misbehaved as an adult so we really have been working on shaping his foundation and catering his experiences. We want to create a confident and well mannered puppy who will grow up into a fine young gentleman.
Look at him being so good, at just around 15 weeks old he is already better behaved than most pups who come to us for training at a year or older!
We visited Tails of the Adirondacks and Lowe's Home Improvement for a few short training sessions, play, exposure and hanging out to watch the world go by.
He was catching everyone’s eye and getting so many compliments on how well behaved he was.
    Great job Biscuit!
