No point putting over expectations on any young kid with Kelce type possibilities - the man has been a beast, breaking TE and even WR playoff records.

On paper, it's cool, but let's wait until the pads get on.

I was really worried about o line and with a bunch of them being up for contracts soon I’m ecstatic they spent a lot on the oline. And managed to go grab a a flashy wr and a TE I’m excited for. Honestly I love every pick and I’m kinda blown away by that
Of course time will tell how good this draft was but on paper it’s an A. That O-line building was amazing, never forget the Tampa Super Bowl, we can never have too much O-line depth!

I was hoping for Xavier Worthy after watching the hopefuls in the months leading up to the draft. Contested catches was never really Andy’s game plan. This opens up the middle of the field for Kelce and Rice. Can’t wait for football this year!
I love how they draft guys that can move around. Also glad we got a bigger TE.
The chiefs moved up a couple times, but never gave up a massive amount. The trades were smart with low amount given up, for a quite possible massive returns.
Interestingly we didn't give up anything, just moved positions. I suppose you can say we gave up our third since we swapped a pick completely out of it. Retaining the same amount of picks while moving up and down is a master stroke
I rly like this draft class. It feels like each one could be a contributor early in their careers. Lots of freaky athleticism too

Curtis Jacobs was on best available so a good pick and a Willie Gay replacement possibly. Emani Bailey adds a new dimension to the RB room and could make the 53-man

I loved our draft. OL/ Defense plus 2 receiver and tight end.
They also got UDFA Baylor Cupp from Texas Tech. 6'6 260lb Tight End
I give it a B, but since we have 15 our draft doesn’t need to be perfect because he eliminates so many deficiencies
Just keep in mind, Sneed was a higher round draft pick himself, I remember his rookie year, his physical play style jumped off the screen…I think we have a young DB on the roster that will emerge…McDuffie is going to be an absolute beast this season
If that TE is good the worthy pick is going to be a great pick

I’m way more excited about Worthy than I was about CEH or Skyy. Looks like we got some good value picks and some developmental guys that could contribute. I really hope Sua turns into a solid starter soon. All in all, seems like a solid draft with Worthy bringing that flash of excitement when I think about September
Considering Chiefs were picking last in every round, you have to applaud Veach for getting the WR he wanted AND getting the LT he wanted. That alone was a great feat, mixed with a little bit of luck. What else could another GM do without trading away a ton of picks? Veach gets an A
The upside the Hunter not spending too much time in anyone position is he knows the basics of each and we can decide where we need him and develop him from there.

I thought it was a decent draft considering the picks we had, Veach addressed our needs the best he could.
Who would you of rather had at each pick that would of made it a good or great draft instead of decent? Most pundits are praising this draft. Hit the majority of our needs and future needs with good players.

They got an average grade of A- for this draft. I think they did better this year than the last two years and those drafts were pretty good. These guys should all feel great about landing with the Chiefs. Our coaching staff will get the most possible from each of them. I believe our staff can raise most young players to a whole next level. Only time will tell. How many of these guys will we see on the field this year? I think three or four but maybe five.

In terms of comparative team value, this draft was much better than last year. Depth always stands the test of time, while upside and potential can break down limits of the game. We got our speed guy and rock in Worthy and Wiley. We locked up the O-line with Suamataia, Norzad, and Hansen. After losing Sneed, we immediately shore the position group up with 2 more dawgs in Hicks and Hadden. Every pick was a need and added depth, along with the potential to become members of the next great Chiefs Era.

EXCELLENT DRAFT! I think it deserves much more than a B or B+. IN VEACH WE TRUST!
-Worthy....Speed speed speed. Love it. Also he had a broken hand which is why he had so many drops a couple years ago.
-Suamataia could be the best pick here. Excited to have a Samoan guy on our line.
-Wiley: Please don't be like the other Wiley we drafted, pleeeeeease.
-The Hicks pick was probably a waste. It says a lot about the Safety class overall when a Box Safety is the best safety available. Stiff hips are the bane of DB's after all. The best hope is he is used as a press slot guy who can tween into a linebacker roll and play the line of scrimmage. Obviously I hope he's a stud but I'm just being realistic.
-Hunter and Hanson could be our next swing lineman (which we need) time will tell what they can do. Great value for where we drafted them.
-Hadden will most likely be in the mold of our guys like Williams or Watson, good players from time to time but not consistent starting caliber. The injuries with him are a major concern too but again for the pick value it was a good gamble.
Immediate weapon in Wiley. And learning from Kelce will be huge.
Great Draft and the incentive for these future Chiefs is a REAL shot at playing in the Super Bowl so it’s worth giving 120% ALL Season.

- looks like Coach Spags could be using J. Hicks as SS/CB3. It will all depend on if he's a sponge that will soaks everything up that spags teaches him and makes the best out it 🤞🤞 excited to watch this man's rookie year. If he wants a starting job he is going to have to learn to be a hybrid and out play cook. Great added competition in our DB room by Veach!
What a great draft all the way around by Veach and his Scouting Team in this years's draft for this 3peat season. He covered all needed positions and added depth and competitions in each positions for both defense And Offense!
Lastly, i also hope Kelce takes "baby kelce" under his wing from day1

Another solid draft. Looking at the various needs across the team I think the Chiefs addressed them well in the draft. The fact they only took 1 WR tells me that they feel confident that the competition in the room is going to be fine. Suamataia was a great pick in my book I had mocked him a few times with picks early in the 2nd and sometimes making it to the 1st as well. Wiley will be interesting and another former QB so that is a plus for learning behind Kelce. Hicks wasn’t on my radar but just watching his highlight film I am pretty happy with that pick. Hadden will add competition to the CB room so a good pick there. Always good to add OL depth with the other two picks because protecting Mahomes is key. To trade up twice albeit not far each time and still keep 7 picks I give the draft grade an A- especially given finding talent at the back end of each round.
Chiefs have done well developing OL and DB prospects in recent years so I'm happy to see them go back to the well in that regard. Having a replacement for Trey seems like good business, you can't pay everyone and he deserves a raise like many guys here. Veach got the WR and OT we needed in the 1st and 2nd by trading up, I love that. I think a B+ is a solid grade. I'm a little skeptical of Worthy by virtue of where we took him and who was left on the board but obviously Mahomes wanted him and at this point how can you deny your franchise player who's lead the team to this level of success? 2024 is going to be fun for the Kansas City Chiefs. Can't wait for training camp!

At 6'6" and 260 lbs, Wiley isn't a baby anything, except maybe a Sasquatch. He's my favorite pick of the draft. Out of 8 picks we drafted 3 OL and 3 DB. I was hoping for a decent RB.

I have watched Wiley his whole career and he is "just a guy" if ever there was one. Xavier Worthy, on the other hand, will simply explode in the Chief's offense.
