Hello and thanks for stopping by! My name is Rachel, and you’ve tuned into my CZcams channel, The Sailing Siren. To give you a brief intro, I’m a PADI divemaster, a mermaid performer, a sailor, a freediver, and a few other random things that you might get a glimpse of from time to time.
Right now, I’m in the middle of a Zero to Hero program where I go from having no formal freediving experience to becoming an SSI Level 2 instructor over the course of several months.
On my channel, I plan to share the successes and challenges I encounter on my journey of becoming a better freediver. As I progress, I’ll also be sharing tips and tutorials of things that I learn along the way.
I believe in working hard and playing harder, so stay tuned for info on dream diving and sailing destinations, ocean themed art and ocean conservation projects I believe in, and interactions with people I meet along the way. My goal in this journey is to grow, learn, and explore as much as I can, and I want you to come with me. Let’s go!

Can you talk about your experiences sailing and how to become a sailor I'm very interested into it just as much as I am freediving I'm in My Level 1 course by the way

Thanks for stopping in! Where have you done your sailing and do you do it for fun, commercially, both, or other? :) I'm itching to get back into that boatlife. Nothing beats living on the water haha.
I have one trip coming up that I really hope goes through! I'm hoping to go on an 8 day sailing and freediving trip March 18-23 and the itinerary looks phenomenal! They need a few more people to join in to help with the cost sharing, but I hope to be able to post content from it if the trip happens. Potential spots include Laiya, Marinduque, Elephant Island, Tablas Island, and Boracay. And they have a freediving instructor and scuba gear on board. *fingers crossed*

@@razzorbladz Thanks for the invite! I'd gladly take you up on that! Spent 7 months cruising from California to Costa Rica and the Sea of Cortez, and then spent much of my time thereafter doing deliveries! What kind of boat do you have?

I love this channel. What you are doing is what I want to do, scuba, sail, free dive, be a merman, do ocean conservation. I want to see your sailing, mermaiding, conservation, etc.
All in due time! I'm definitely keeping to my once weekly posting schedule, but if I did more, I'd spend more time editing videos than doing the stuff you want to see! Regardless, thanks for your support and kind words. They mean a lot. :)
