Thank you for commenting. If you are planning on coming over be aware that Buttermere is one of the honey pot places and parking can be difficult. The earlier you get there the better.
Just sat down to edit a video I filmed on Friday at Buttermere plus Thirlmere and Ashness where I mentioned your good self and by chance this popped up. The conditions I experienced were very different, also I share your mindset on time - I always underestimate how long I'm going to be at a location.

Top Drawer ... I thought the location was perfect for a bike . You should look at getting a battery powered bike .. I travel about on a bike tho it's not battery powered . Still gets me from A2B .
Thank you for the comment. I feel my biking days are long gone. Going back a few years I was into cycling a bit and occasionally cycled to work which was some distance and over one of the passes. I once tried off road cycling with my son but just could not cope with it, give me a road any time. As a student I once cycled home and back. That was Newcastle to Hull. Batteries are cheating arn't they!!

We have three nights in Reykjavik and four nights a little be east but don't know much more than that.
