Heres a review of the Merrell Hydro Moc AT 1TRL shoe. Its not the usual content from my channel but I noticed theres zero reviews of this shoe on youtube (at the time of upload so i figured i might as well make a quick one.
Huge fan of the hydro Mocs, can’t wait to get my hands on these. Great job on being the first to show them off on YT 🤘🏼

Got myself a pair of hydro Mocs after a while last summer… I was rocking them 24/7
and this spring again, even for smart fits with some jeans or shorts etc.
You think it’s worth it the increase in price compared to the regular ones? Here in Spain they are anything I. Between 120- 130 bucks. I’m really doubting whether getting them cause I also like the stripes arround the shoe (remembering to something more extravagant such some off whites or Selene bembury) but still I think it’s way too much for the brand new and redesign

Wish they went with a coyote colored bungee lacing system to match the shoe. The white is too much of a contrast for me. Maybe they'll come out with different color bungees and inserts and sell them separately for more customization

Ti be honest i haven't been in the situation where it got wet. They feel like theyd dry in time though and they feel really durable
Are they true to size if I order on line I wanna make sure they don’t run to big and I end up having to return them.
They’re true to size and if they’re a little big or a little small on you, you can adjust them with the cords.
How comfy are these without wearing the insert just a bit worried as they look uncomfy where the gap is in the centre
Comfy but taking the sock out makes em a big big. But they got the elastic strings to tighten em. I wouldn’t buy em with intentions to rock em without the sock. It’s just a bonus that you can

Well the good thing about this is that they have the back strap. These are actually half a size smaller than my usual size but because of the adjustable back strap, they fit! The inner sock is sliiiiightly snug on me but nothing to complain about.
If you get your actual size, you’ll be good! No need to go up a size
Can you wear them without the insert like a normal hydro moc or do you need the insert?
You can wear em without the insert cause they are adjustable
Can this shoe be worn without interchangeable socks? In the summer as a replacement usually Hydro Moc.

Really sorry it took me so long to reply. Yeah you can wear em like normal hydro mocs without the sock but they’re a little lose so you just adjust them with the cords

I know this video is a year old but just got me a pair and love them. i did contact Merrell and they told me they are planning to restock the inner sock (booties) very soon.
On the Canadian site you can already buy the inner sock and also buy the “cage” separately. So you can do colour combos if you want!
@@MaysrJustThis same on the US site but the inner sock is mostly sold out in most sizes only like size 15 left. and only have black or white colors available.

They recently reissued them without the insert. I think you must have bought the newer version

A little squishy but not very squeaky. If that makes sense. Depends on how much dancing you do

They are squeaky as hell when you wear the booties with them. But I just rock them with a sock and they are fine.

From original HYDRO MOC, it made sun-induced black spots from the shoe's hole. And this model has more holes, the huge middle gap, so my foot is definitely worse off (I hope I won't wear the socks)

@@MaysrJustThis I copped the Bloom 2 Merrel Hyrdo Mocs in black/gray, very satisfied with them. But if I would’ve know these were coming out, I would’ve most likely got this pair in black instead

@@MaysrJustThis I’ve been researching the Hydro Moc for the past couple of weeks (fit, sizing) before I bought it, just copped some Crocs Pollex clogs, Suicoke Polks, and Birkenstock Bostons in camo, so I’m not really tripping off them being sold out. There’s a good variety of shoes out right now, so if we miss something, there’s usually some other heat out or on the way.

Still a little squishy but I only wore em no more than 3 times since I got em.

The short answer is yes because since the back strap is adjustable, you can always have the option to tighten or loosen up

I had to go up by one size. If you have wide feet, they are going to be tight

They squeak a little in the house. Haven’t left my building with em yet but I’m assuming that the light squeaking with fade?

@@shanetubaugh8958 they squeak a little from the inner sock rubbing against the actual shoe. I’ve only worn them for about a total of 15 mins in my house so I can’t really tell you if the squeaking tones down after a while

Yup. Pretty much. You can adjust them with the cords if not so there’s decent leeway

Like I said in the video, these are womens size 11 and that translates to a Mens size 9.5. I wear a mens 10. These fit me. The good part about it is that the sock stretches and the adjustable back strap means if you get your size and they are a bit too small or a bit too big, the back strap is adjustable. I guess the short answer is yes lol

Yeah, scooped them the day I realized they were on the site. Full price. Really liked them and didn’t wanna risk them selling out. Which they did.

I answer that in the video. I’m Mens 10 and this is a womens 11. A little snug but not by much. Also, the back strap makes it so you can go up or down a few sizes

the shoe is def waterproof but the sock doesnt look or feel waterproof. i wouldnt wear em in the rain unless i wasnt wearing the sock

Get your size cause the sock is true to size. When you wear em without the sock, they are a little big but you just adjust the straps and they’ll fit perfect
