Nice video? I was wondering, how warm are these? Because I have read stories of guys in the Battle of the Bulge getting their feet frozen even when wearing these, so I wonder how good they really are.
I have been wearing wintersteifel from East Germany for decades, recently resoled from the original molded plastic. They are quite similar to the earlier version shown in this video. With heavy wool socks, when moving around they are good to around 10°F, standing still maybe 20°F. For reference, I am a native Minnesotan and former arctic infantry scout, 205th Northern Light Infantry Brigade (1984-1987).
