Roller Derby Queen

There’s plenty I dislike about social media, but it has allowed me over the years to meet some folks initially as social media “friends,” who then become honest-to-goodness, real-life friends of mine.
I became social media "friends" a few years ago with ace guitarist Pat Keiner. Late this afternoon, we met for the first time as we loaded our music equipment into a west suburban gazebo. We shook hands, we plugged in, and we then played a three-hour outdoor gig together.
We quickly hit our stride, and by the end of the night it certainly didn’t feel like this was our first gig together.
A fun private event, a receptive crowd, and a great new musical compadre. I look forward to many more gigs with Brother Keiner.
