- It's been exactly one month and a day since Shadow passed away. This is a video I was meaning to make a while before she passed, as it chronicles my favorite tricks that we worked on together. When I train with the new rats now, I am forever thinking of Shadow. She was a joy to work with, and I'll never forget her sweet eagerness to learn.

I miss rats so much. I want to thank you for widening the view of rsts. I do socialize fosters for my local Humae society. So you videos help them as well
I've started training and I didn't even realize how smart my rats were! They pick up tricks faster than I thought they would. They seem happier too. I think learning makes them happy

Can you train hamsters? Probably not, they aren't as smart. However I can't get a rat because they are quite expensive.

It is really painful that such beautiful, smart animals have such a short time on earth. I would have said: Shadow for president! She was definitely smarter than some politicians ...

Hansen Welder..there was a movie some years ago called Willard about a bunch of criminal rats. I think they were trained for revenge not bank robbery. Of course the rats turned on the bad guy. Must have been interesting to train so many.

Spin, paw, or come would be some of the best first tricks to train your mice. After that, I usually train either backup, agility, or fetch.

Such smart animals, like dogs. We need to petition to ban Cruel Glue Traps, Posion bait in favor of catch release or birth control and staying cleaner. Also stop needless animal testing as cosmetics on them or bunnies
I like how his brain is the size of an arduino but like 100 times more powerful and capable of unsupervised learning. Mother nature is the best engineer.

@@weekbig вот тут вы не правы, крыс содержат минимум по две.(однополые).Им очень плохо без общения. Когда я этого ещё не знала, у меня жила одна крыска, так она всё время висела на краю клетки в попытках поймать меня. Грустное зрелище.Кстати, и одну крысу я не смогла научить таким трюкам. Дело во мне, видать я хреновый дрессировщик.))))

I love rats. I think they are one of the most misunderstood animals on the earth. But thanks to videos like this we see how smart and affectionate they are. Makes great pets, but need attention or will get depressed and lonely. Thank you for this video, its really a good one😊🎈💕

This makes me miss my lovelies so much...have had 8 rats during like a 10 years span, but the last couple of years I haven’t had any since I had to move in with my dad and he’s allergic. But as soon as I get my own place I’ll get 3 of them. I miss it so much. Greetings from Sweden!

Oh goodness it would be soooo cute if you were to have the whole mini brand set up like the store background, register like the whole works, then pack a "fake" mini brand order and then have shadow push the little buggy around like he's the one shopping..would be totally adorable! I never used to like rats until I got one for my daughter and he was the sweetest little thing and I fell in love, lol we now have 4 rats ❤
