Ironic that Gavins death led to us getting Zack and now Zack in my opinion is one of the best characters on the show.

Hated gavin.
Gavin kinda sucked in my opinion he blew loads of chances to kill characters mainly Phil so he just looked like a Joke towards the end plus the whole History between him and Kathy was a terrible retcon in order to bring her back to life.
He really exposed the shows plot armour and boundaries. Him and Phil blew several chances to kill each other.
Gavin was a great villain for the short time he was on the show.
Sharon and Kathy’s family connection is weird.
Gavin was Sharon’s biological father making her Kathy’s step daughter.
Sharon married Ian as part of her payback for what Ian did that caused Denny’s passing. Making Kathy go from her Stepmom to mother in law.
Sharon marrying Kathy’s ex husband Phil making them kinda in-laws again because Sharon became Ben’s stepmom.
The amount of times these two have scrapped and said they’re going to end each other one week, the next week they’re best friends.
Kathy said to Sharon in an episode in the late 80’s that because of how close Sharon and Ian are as best friends she feels like a daughter to her.
Kathy delivering little Albie after Ben had k1dnapp€d Sharon thinking she knew where Keanu had taken Callum which caused her to go into labor at the Funeral Home.
And Ben panicking because he knew he’d caused her labor to start he called his mom instead of an ambulance and just left Sharon for his mom to find.
Kathy keeping Sharon calm throughout and I still think that editing of that whole sequence is one of the best ever done on any TV show, soap opera and even a lot of movies in my personal opinion.
The scenes swapping between Sharon in labor and giving birth and Ian pulling Denny through the door as if he was delivering a baby etc… for it to then show that the second Albie started crying (because he wasn’t moving or breathing for almost a minute.) Denny took his last breath as Albie took his first. One life ending, another life beginning.
That whole scene was an absolute masterpiece as well as heartbreaking to watch, and whoever came up with the idea should have won some awards for it. It was so seamlessly done. Just incredible!
And I still say and have always said this ever since the episode aired that Phil is actually Albie’s father not Keanu! The start of that episode where it opens with Sharon holding a tooth brush and putting it into the bag and envelope etc… spent over five minutes focusing on Keanu talking about not being able to find his toothbrush. The one Sharon had was meant to be Phil’s but he never mentioned anything about not finding his and making a big thing about it, unlike Keanu did even him accusing Denny of taking it.
Sharon had just walked out the back door to send off the DNA test just as Keanu walked into kitchen and started asking about his toothbrush, to the point Louise told him to just go to the store and buy a new one.
Sharon had no idea this was going on and it was never mentioned to her. She clearly sent what she believed to have been Phil’s toothbrush off for the DNA test when in fact it was Keanu’s which explains why the results showed that Phil wasn’t Albie’s father, because it wasn’t his DNA that was tested against the then unborn baby Albie’s DNA.
And there’s been other little hints dropped in some episodes that have either Albie, Raymond or both children in that they’re actually siblings. Both have to drink special milk and use special cream on their bodies due to having eczema which Ben and Louise also had when younger which can be hereditary, and sounds like it is in this case with all the children inheriting it from Phil.
The timeline is slightly off regarding Albie’s conception. Sharon wasn’t doing the deed with Keanu around that time, they had stopped, but her and Phil was still.
And there’s plenty more that points to a massive reveal coming that is going to reveal that Phil is Albie’s father not Keanu.
Maybe an accident happens or Albie falls seriously ill and needs help in some ways or another where he’ll need something from his fathers side of the family and it will come back that he’s not related to Keanu or the Taylor’s at all and is in fact a Mitchell.
Either way I’ve never changed my mind, not once about who is Albie’s actual father is ever since that whole toothbrush episode and the fact that almost half the episode was focused on this missing toothbrush. Sharon was already in a state and panic, she likely picked up Keanu’s by accident thinking it was Phil’s as Keanu had only just moved in with Louise a few episodes before so she along with everyone else was probably still getting use too the idea that another person was living under the same roof, and another reason why Sharon didn’t notice or realize that she had picked up and sent Keanu’s instead of Phil’s to the DNA testing center.

Shows worst ever storyline. History retcon was terrible and we got another geriatric gangster who doesn't like killing people.
