I think it's easy to look at a stadium full of believers all singing this beautiful song together and think "wow God's presence is surely there". However, man often looks at the physical to make judgments, and God is in spirit and sees in spirit. His "power is made perfect in weakness"(2 Cor12:9), and in the lack of numbers He is still there, and present perhaps more so. Gideon was far outnumbered and alone, but God purposed that to show His power. 1 Cor 1:27 "But God chose what is foolish in the world to shame the wise; God chose what is weak in the world to shame the strong". God time and time again chooses the humble, lowly, meek, poor, and outnumbered.
God is just as near when I am alone, weakening in faith, and void of feeling His presence. He is there. Praise the Lord!(Sidenote: This is not directed at you, just thoughts that have been on my mind lately that I wanted to share!)
