I like the way he kept things simple and only needed an acceleration trigger to operate it. genius! I bet he turns just by shifting his feet
Hi
trigger for altitude control, weight shifting for roll and pitch and probably an accelerometer to return it back to 0degrees is what i'm guessing.
at least thats what id do
I came from a viral video of it and didn't knew it someone made it five years ago wow omg.i need to stop living under big rocks
Saaame bruh like wth lmao
DDOI?
@@ryanhasproblems Yup I came from DDOI as well. I knew they had larger models of this concept, which you sit in, and the jet Iron Man version, but I hadn't seen this smaller, Green Goblin style before. (DDOI is Daily Dose of Internet for those who don't recognize the acronym)

Same but the guy in LA is hunter kowald right what happen to this dude?
The moment he had fallen into lake, my first thought was: "Hope he isolated those batteries."
Just the fact that it was submerged in water and can still operate a few minutes later is even more amazing than the flying itself
my thoughts exactly
He flew around time square NY a week ago
@@raycolok4943 no? Another person did. Idk if it's the same design or not but different person.
They cut out when they put it in rice
Bravo Alexandru! cu tineri ca tine, viitorul omenirii e in maini bune.
You have created something amazing, good job and dedication, cannot wait to see if a consumer craft will be available
I'm equally impressed that the water doesn't ruin it.
Very cool tech. Can't wait to see where it leads.
Simply amazing and inspiring.
Incredible. What a strapping young man ! Geniuses!
wow, i wish i can copy this.. looks so amazing
That's really impressive - I want one.
May I suggest a couple of things? Your throttle uses a single pot. It would be better, more reliable to use a double pot wired in parallel or an EJ longlife pot. Also, a simple pole & handgrip attached to the frame would make things just a bit more secure for you - something to hang on to. Keep up the good work.
The potentiometer idea although sound enough misses the real fail points hazard by a mile.
All those lithium batteries, & Chinese mosfets.... He is a brave man.
Imagine the Wright Brothers were on the shore watching this
Or the first-in-flight Frenchman who flew in Brazil before the Wright brothers! 😍
This is like watching again the first airplane flight, the first car, or the first motorcycle.
Indeed very inspiring!
Alexander Duru is really a Guru!
Muchas felicidades Alexandru, eso solo en mis sueños lo veia.
Badass. I have to admit, from the photo, before I saw the video, I thought he was riding on the back of an alligator and I was very impressed with the Canadians. I'm still impressed with the Canadians (and the Romanians).
Very inspiring
+kuwait85 And very expiring too
+Gabriel Carrera what do you mean
Hemtoj.Deo that it is really fun
FAKE only....
:O))
Gorgeous and ambitious
the pic at 2:34 looks legendary, straight out of a star wars movie
nicely done! it's even waterproof.. hehe
great work!
holy cow that must have been the most high on life any one has been in a while.
This guy needs some major funding to advance safely. Poor Dad never had worry lines a few years ago.
Great piece, very entertaining
The new Flying Carpet is super !! I read about Aladino ... I was a kid and Now ... I have!!! Woow!!!
This is the coolest invention ever.
one day air hockey will literally be in the air
😎 indeed
Good Job Alexandru!
"which has captured our imagination since Wilbur & Orville wright". I think you meant "since Joseph & Etienne Montgolfier".
That said, very nice. And impressive. It may even now have a commercial use. Main problem remaining, a more efficient power reserve than today's batteries has to be found.
Just watched Back to the Future Part II, in which Marty goes to 2015, where he finds the famous hoverboard. Pretty cool, knowing I watched the movie in 2015, dunno why. Anyways, ironic that the times I've seen it used, the IRL version that is, it was used over water, while in the film, it doesn't work on water unless you have 'power' I think he called it, meaning a method of propulsion. Seems like basically using a hoverboard on water is like using a skateboard in thick mud.
Also, needless to say, AWESOME that it was made by a Canadian! Newfie here, cheers!
Awesome and brilliant
Skirts around the propeller that can "focus" the energy a little, wireless power via rf with a batt pack that can handle the full current.. not sure what you're running for power, but if you're running lifopo4 then, the most in s, with the least in p and wireless real time charging will help you a lot..
Well nice work.
Amazing!
guy I am Brazilian and I am crazy about this type of technology more I can not afford to do this because here not in the great river north of nothing like that and not have conditions, geito is adimirar your job , you ta very good friend parabens
Brilliant!
congratulations!
That is good , it is good to have like that if you are living in a skycrapper building or condo, you could escape in case of fire.
well his record was just shattered by flyboards
+Mitch T Right. Kind of feel bad for him being that the Flyboard literally demolished his record. Hope he has new invention ideas. Probably make a more efficient hover bike or something.
I thought it was powered by engines, the water's just for safety.
Sebastian Schubert NickCage The new one doesn't use water.
Yeah but I honestly don't like the Flyboard as it looks like something you really can't control. You have to have an entire TEAM of boats follow you around but one guy and pliers controls this hover machine. I think this one, albeit a lot bigger and bulkier, it's lighter and much more practical. Props to Alex.
That's true!! The lighter, the better.
Esse pessoal são as mentes do futuro. Hoje esse invento é praticamente um protótipo amanhã será um excelente meio de transporte. Parabéns pela a maquina.
this guy is amazing
I NEED THIS THING!!!
Wish I could spend a day or two throwing out some of my ideas to this guy
incredible !
So awesome, future customer right here!
It cost twenty thousand dollars according to the Southern California channel 9 News.
@@lakerstekkenn so you're just gonna respond to a comment from 4 years ago? Lol what's 20k got to do with anything, it's a fair price?
someone needs to redesign that hover board to make it a little safer and mass produce it and put it in the market!!
+Timothys Fraud!
First off anything that flies will never be safe but it sure is cool! I would gladly lose my life flying on one of those things!
NOW THAT IS A HOVER BOARD!
I need to know how to build one. Awesome
what kind of motors is he useing wow thats great
Great Sir.Carry on
Imagine being on the same level as the wright brothers
Now someone flew it in LA is in trouble lol
hey good idea i want the full list of the material used
What he meant to say is,"In Oscorp Tower, New York, a man named Noman Osborne experiments with chemicals. A accident last year involved Mr. Osborne exposed to a tank of chemicals that exploded. Thankfully Mr. Osborne survived. Now he continues to work on newer chemicals in a safer environment. Mr. Osborne is also working on a new type of hoverboard which is rumored to be unveiled next week at the New York World Unity Festival."
It should have like a fancy cover
Innovators of the future, very nice
omg! this is awesome!
A step towards hoverboard in back 2 the future.
I've seen similar devices- they existed in the early 1970's...
It's great, and a lot of fun
Brilliant
Mad props though
I got a trampa electric board and the set up of motors and batteries is similar
any update about the machine 5 years later?
Absolutely amazing product but I notice the prop guards don't entirely cover the blades. Better extend the prop guards for more safety.
Wow 😮😮😮😮😮,, genius creation...
OMG so excited I cannot wait till I got one of these Ha ha ha
If you dream it, you can make it. Go kid go!!
he's dreamy
can anyone say specification of the motor and the battery?
sweet drone
Congratulations 🎊🍾🎈🎉
That is amazing
I wonder if he could hook up a couple of belts and pulleys to some of the drive shafts to some small altenators try to trhrow in some frictionless bearings he just might get some more time
very nice!
Which motor is used to make this
One suggetion. Put the center of gravity of the lower pilot. Will achieve greater stability and control. Place the lower batteries that helps.
I wish he could strap on a parachute and go straight up and see what altitude can be possible.
Klasse !!!
I was a skeptic - but this interview has convinced me.
+Jamie Clay
NOT!
Only fake.
Hoverboarder Duru = scamer.
I used to think like you brother, but then I saw the light. Join us in the happy unicorn rainbow world, will you? :)
Jamie Clay
Uhhh...
Duru really scamer.
Only trick-videos, not really flight.
On "hoverboard" can not maintain stability, because distance between rotors too small (1.2 m crosswise and 2.0 m lengthwise).
And center of gravity is too high.
Technical nonsens...
hi , do you know the quality of engine ?
There’s a tiktoker claiming he invented this
Tiktoker- enough said I don’t believe him
This guy is innovative
Good way to travel
wow totally Amazing!
Amazing
This is a great tech.
I'm in mechanical engineering technology I would love to work with you Im also an amateur quadcopter pilot
Does anymore recognize the soundtrack used at 6:40m. Can't remember.
WOW! this is pure magic!! I wish Disney parks should buy some of these and Convert them into Aladdin Flying Carpets and Flying boards for the "incredibles", just for the parade shows... ;-)
well you know it's not magic, electric motors fan blades and batteries...it's just reminder that we still can't build good batteries yet, or more efficient motors ....it seems it will be a while before we'll have some good dependable propulsion for which you won't have to have little nuclear powerplant strapped to your butt to feed it.
tallll70 Yeah..about that..
When you fall:
*Spain without S*
No need to fly that high and if you're afraid of pain, then keep living under a rock. History will remember him!
Oh hum another flying food processor.
Way to go Canada
Good job kid
Great flying machine!
Do you control it's flight path by transferring body weight? I gather height is controlled by motor RPM.
How high can you fly before you lose ground effect and how much does it help your flight time?
It seems he doesn't have gyroscope and accelerometer? Am i right?
Freaking AWESOME....
very cool
if they sell those items how much it be ?
it is good ideal. behind added jet engine.go forward, fast.brilliant
