Growing up, there was a long stretch when he was unchallengeably my favorite player in the NFL.

Until TO, came, Brian Westbrook was the only other playmaker on offense and you know it. Also, when TO, got hurt, McNabb still got yall to the superbowl without him.

McNabb was definitely an Eagles legend. Really wish he could have won a SB with us.
As a Giants fan born in 92, I can tell you I saw a LOT of McNabb highlights growing up. Lived 40mins from Philly in New Jersey. Eagles country. They loved that man as much as they loved to dunk on him
I believe if he had been able to win a Super Bowl he’d be in the hall of fame. McNaab , Westbrook and Dawkins were my guys growing up.
It’s unfortunate they had all that talent and got to NFC Championships yet couldn’t win the big one.

McNabb was a beast, wish we gave him better WRS. ... I know if I owed a football team that had a top pick in a strong QB class and was looking to build something special I would want Andy Ried hands down. Maybe the best all-time coach developing franchise QBs and getting the most from them. Reid is one of the best coach coaches ever
Oh yea, back then Philly had a mixture of Kevin Curtis, Donte Stallworth, Todd Pinkston, Greg Lewis etc lol..... Jason Avant was underrated though. DJac was great and Maclin was really good but they were very young and played with Nabb at the tail end of his Philly tenure. Memories lol

Yep and I would argue no one was better breaking tackles in the pocket and a passer and then reloading and getting a pass off. Before his knee injury out side of prime Elway no one was better at spinning out of a sack or breaking away from a sack then rolling left or right and throwing a deep pass on on the money to his WR on the opposite side of the field (that he was rolling out to).
DMac was the eagles he brought us back to life and did most of it by himself. I will always love mcnabb
If Mcnabb had AJ Brown and Devonta Smith he would have won multiple Superbowls and an MVP. That 2004 team was still the best team I've seen.

I became an Eagles fan when they lost the SB to the Pats and I became a fan of McNabb when he was placed on the cover of Madden
McNabb was THE factor that made me an Eagles fan! His career stats despite not having a great supporting cast was spectacular! Think about it, Westbrook, and the solid defense is the only thing that made the NFC a juggernaut because the Giants/Cowboys were so inconsistent.
He was fun to play with on NFL STREET VOL. 2 lol

Brady first 3 could’ve easily been Mcnabb he was in the final 4 all those years and one of them he was the runner up. Showing up when it counts the most and not is difference from being legendary and really good.
besides Todd Pinkston and Brent celek he didn't have much to throw to fr, and celek was when mcnabb was on his way out and Pinkston was hit or miss for the most part, it's a shame Freddie Mitchell didn't turn out great
McNabb wasn't that good according to Rush Limbaugh. L8mbaugh claimed the media hyped McNabb up past his actual abilities. . Donavan along with Doug Williams help establish the reality that a black man can be a leader at Quarterback and be excellent.

Donovan McNabb had weapons. I don't know how he messed up having at worst the 3rd greatest wide receiver all-time in Terrell Owens. He knew how to get Terrell Owens the ball, and they were a great pair. How about TE Chad Lewis, a pro-bowler. Brian Westbrook was a problem. Greg Lewis, Freddy Mitchell, Jason Avant was solid receivers. Let's not forget that defense led by Brian Dawkins. He always had a very good defense his time in Philly. He just couldn't get the job done when it mattered. His performance in the SuperBowl is a great example of his inability to get the job done in big games. He didn't use his weapons the way Peyton Manning or Tom Brady did

Donovan Mcnabb was consistently mid. Not good but not bad. But any decent QB has statistically amazing seasons under Andy Reid. Donovan Mcnabb was blessed with a great situation and never had a great statistical season. Go look at the numbers.
