      Thanks! Just remember I'm not a specialist. ;) 142s is a very nice car. Is it original s-version? Especially original 142s are quite rare here in Finland.

    Hello, great video!, i think you have an airleak on cilinder 4 (the one at the very front), if you go to minute 6:16 on video you can see a backfire between the carburetor and intake manifold, that means either carb bolts are not tight enough or gasket is shot. Hope this nelps!

      @hanssgarage1886  Před 3 lety +1

      Thank you very much for the comment and tip. This video is little bit old so the problem is solved. You are right it really was an airleak. Check this one czcams.com/video/yMubcwMtGrY/video.html

    Hans, interesting dilemma. Is number 4 getting the same amount of fuel? Please keep up the wonderful content and sharing!

    • @hanssgarage1886
      @hanssgarage1886  Před 3 lety +1

      Yes it is. That's a very good question. I'm trying to figure that out. If it gets the same amount I might have a bigger problem... Next I try to spay fuel to number four and if it gets hot I know the problem is carb. If it doesn't help i have to check spark and valves.

    i would quickly determine if the cylinder is low on compression

      @hanssgarage1886  Před 3 lety +1

      I just checked the compression but I will do that again.

    I believe the pressure regulator may be to high. The highest point should be the carbs feeding pipe.
    What angle are the carbs?

      Thanks. There was an air leak in intake manifold gasket. They are old and quite hard...

    What was the final diagnosis on cylinder #4?

    • @hanssgarage1886
      @hanssgarage1886  Před 3 lety +1

      Well, I haven't figuret it out yet. When I give more throttle it wakes up and runs quite nice with higher rpm. Have you watched the new winter driftin video? The sound is nice. I need to investigate more. It think it doesn't get enough fuel in low rpm, maybe...

      @@hanssgarage1886 Oh yes, I greatly enjoyed watching you fishtail around in the snow and it certainly seemed to sound fine.
      My first car decades ago was a hand-me-down, same year, model and colour 145S. I was going to technical college and delivering pizzas in Minnesota and during the winter I would hang the tail out at almost any opportunity :)

      No idea.🤗 I’m planning to take it to dyno but I would like it to pass MOT before that. So it will take some time.

    OMG.he got a airflow tool.This guy is just bad.He has u tube and he still can't tune his car.Tuning these webers u need alot of money to buy parts.This dude ain't checking his compression or his ignition system first.He needs alot of u tube engineering.I guess millennial or gen z are just as clueless as the ones from other parts of the world.He can't figure it out on his own So he is copying it from a table he found on you tube Try tuning a mazda rotary.We didn't have u tube when we tuned our cars
