So this engine has to be sent back to Germany when its hours have been reached? Traded for a new engine? What does that cost?
I know it’s a considerable upgrade compared to a Lycoming ,but the obvious question is how much does it cost and how much does it weigh Way?Thanks for the show brilliant. PS I have an RV 6 I am considering it for.

Hi Will,
As far as I know this is a prototype and development project so unsure if it will be available as a kit. I unfortunately stopped filming on this as I do not have the capacity to document this build in the detail that it deserves.
You can however enquire directly at Robin Coss Aviation as they are the builders of this project. I am sure they can provide more detail on this project.

Put a compression ignition donk on an RV & you kill the resale!
A small price to pay for the development.
It depends on country and fuel prices and availability. RV9 airframe could be ideal testbed to get diesel, effective, engine.
