    I love the sound of my Electrolux EL6986a. I've had it for seven years and it's by far the most relaxing vacuum that I've used since my mother's 1949 Electrolux Model 30. I find that I can really get into cleaning my rooms from ceiling to floor as well as upholstery and behind things without becoming fatigued because of the smooth sound. By the way, seven years and used in my house multiple times each day and I've not had a problem. It costs $400.00 in the U.S.

      One thing that I've noticed with that turbo nozzle is that if you extend the wand long enough it won't put a lot of pressure on the front of the nozzle on the forward pass allowing it to spin well and dislodge most particles and to pull buck while lifting slightly though not as high as to break the vacuum seal and it will perform very well.

  • @vacuumtests9225
    @vacuumtests9225 Před 8 lety +5

    Wow this was just like I expected. Even the turbo nozzle was like I remember it when I bought it. It has no suction release openings what so ever. So that is the reason why it stop spinning. Unfortunately I had to modify mine to make it work by making small holes to the front to it. Now it spins like it should. so if someone wan't to buy one, this is important to know. However it works higher pile carpets very well without any modifications. Vacuum itself is fantastic. well hose could be longer, but no other faults.

      If you already purchase it, at this time you probably found that the parquet nozzle is gone. The connection between the tube and the nozzle/brush is at least damaged.

    Soooo Jealous right now of you owning this beautiful AEG! It's SO quiet as you said and yet it still performs very well. The rest of the vacuum companies need to learn from AEG. Why can't we have AEG in the US?? (I know, some will say we have Electrolux but it's not the same) Anyhow, AMAZING video skills Roger, I agree with others that this is one of the best videos I've ever watched. You are spot on with editing and I LOVE how you show the features as you're talking. All together Bravo Roger and keep it up, you're skills and hard work are VERY much appreciated! It's funny but I f you keep getting fabulous vacuums that I can't get here in the states.. I might have to move! LOL

    • @vacuumtests9225
      @vacuumtests9225 Před 8 lety +4

      Electrolux UltraOne and AEG UltraOne is 100% same vacuum. US versions might have just a different colour options.

    • @HonestJoe68
      @HonestJoe68 Před 8 lety +3

      +Vacuumtests YIKES.. $600 to $700 (£458 to £534) for the USA Electrolux UltraOne!! Why is this vacuum SO expensive here and so inexpensive in the UK?? Makes me Sad! I'd spend $600 on a Sebo or Miele.. But not for a cylinder like this. ☹️

    • @vacuumtests9225
      @vacuumtests9225 Před 8 lety +2

      Looks like the US models come with the full-size powerhead.
      For example in the Europe straight suction models starts at about 200€ (225$). Only the top of the line model with the powerhead is about 500€ (556$). I bought my (bagless) UltraFlex 199€ + powerhead 84€ from the Finland (Europe). Those are cheaper in the US than UltraOne.

    • @LlyleHunter
      @LlyleHunter Před 8 lety +3

      Absolutely. Almost every European vacuum costs about three and a half times as much as it would in Europe in the U.S.

  • @vacuumtests9225
    @vacuumtests9225 Před 8 lety +3

    One thing I forgot to mention is, that currently I have Electrolux/Aeg UltraFlex Green. It's bagless, but all the cleaning tools are exactly same as this UltraOne. Price range is also same as the UltreOne. It is slightly noisier than UltreOne, but much quieter than majority of the bagless vacuums.

    @beko1987 Před 8 lety +2

    Great Demo! Almost sad I didn't choose one of these to review rather than the UltraCaptic, but A, the bags look quite expensive, and B I'm not a fan of the tools, they stick to the floor too much to be of much use (the ultracaptic comes with the parketto pro which is the only nozzle I can use without it sticking to the laminate). Also don't like the 3 in 1 tool, the crevice part is too short, the dusting brush part sticks to everything even on the lowest setting, and the upholstry tool sits at the wrong angle. The UltraOne does look incredibly nice though!

  • @briant5378
    @briant5378 Před 8 lety +2

    I love these ultra quiet Electrolux cleaners. I am mystified why Electrolux stopped using their main brandname in the UK. Can't for the life of me understand why they think sales would be better if their vacs were branded as AEG products or Zanussi products. Do Brits like Germany and Italy more than Sweden?

    • @ibaisaic
      @ibaisaic  Před 8 lety +4

      I have no idea why the Electrolux brand was dropped in favour of AEG, but German brands are perceived to be of better quality, even though most of the AEG cleaners are made elsewhere in Europe. I remember we had dual branding for a while. I had a tumble dryer branded Electrolux Zanussi and you could also get AEG Electrolux branded products.

Is the miele worth the difference in price? which of those two would you advice?? o maybe is there a third alternative that is better then both for about the same price?

    Let me call your attention to this (intentional?) detail of design: Why making a OVAL tube instead of he rounded/circular tube. Why the nozzles have OVAL connections? Does it really improves the efficiency of the vacumm? I don't think so. Wait a few months using the parquet nozzle and you'll see the result... Need to buy a new parquet brush because it's broken and there's no compatible one available in the market (yet).

      I don't have a default vacuum as I tend to use whatever cleaner is newest so I can get a feel for it before I make the demo video. I do enjoy using my Shark Powered Liftaway and that is always at hand if I just need to have a quick clean.

Thank you for all the Demonstrations Roger , they are all very much appreciated. 👍👏

    I don't like these Ultra cleaners at all. I bought a slightly used Ultra One 8870 - the top of the line within the first generation - with the abysmal powerhead and the automatic suction control. Cheers to AEG Electrolux for having replaced the wand and the powerhead under warranty, though I didn't have the original paperwork. After a very short time the hose started leaking at the handle, and the combined bag/storage lid does not open and close properly. The build quality on those is really poor. The thin cord starts to get hot over time, the bags are leaking and it is a hassle to use this machine. It is much too powerful and glues itself to every type of surface, as the automatic suction control has never really helped either. This could have been a great little cleaner, but for me it just didn't work out.

    Electrolux EUOC9GREEN UltraOne Green is a great disappointment. Minutes after I started using it one of the wheels on the accessorie for floor and carpet brush came off. The two wheels on this part are just clipped on and if it had come loose while under a sofa it would have made it diffcult to get it out. The handle on the pipe attachment makes it diffcult to get into narrow spaces. The brush to clean surfaces is only held in place by suction. Several times the brush would suck onto a surface and would come out of the mouth of the pipe. For such an expensive cleaner its design is not up to par and its quality is questionable. Don't buy this vacum cleaner but find one where the attacments sit well and do not loosen easily.
