If Elliot never laughs again in an interview, that would be great
Pissing me the F*** off
Man....cringe worthy. I had somebody walk in the room and ask wtf is that??
@@Gifted1075 bruh. He like a nervous little girl
🎯 & no bullsh#t!! 😂🤣
I heard ppl call him the hip-hop Jimmy Fallon in terms of laughing at everything but honestly Elliot is a million times worse
Djhed is extremely intelligent, he knows when to respond, how to respond, when to speak, when it’s not required, opposed to others responding through nerves. The self control and self discipline is insane.
Shout out to you for recognizing that and articulating it that.
@@Imrockn27 D.J. Hed does show signs of being intellugent yet he is coming across as being a bit rude and annoying, plus what intelligent man called himself Hed?.
BIG FACTS!!!
How did Elliot not catch the seriousness of DJ HED throughout. Like this is past rap beef at this point.
DJ hed wasn’t having it with Elliot’s corny ish today😂
@@axa5005most parts 😂
Indeed DJ Hed was at times a bit irriated by Elliot however he didn't let it bother him he just kept doing his job and laughing, D.J. Hed was annoying me a bit with him being kind of confrontational towards Elliot. Plus D.J. Hed is coming across as a asshole in this interview.
DJhed Thanks for pushing line and not getting any of that Elliot zest on Ya.
I mean he's wearing Scorpion album
Y'all don't understand what HED is tryna tell y'all... This is not just a rap battle, its SPIRITUAL WARFARE.
If everyone understood that life is spiritual warfare, we would be in a better place as humans . Great perspective on this in particular 💪🏼
💯
I been saying this when it first started
The God-less can’t get it
...but the gag is...Kendrick is the Jezebel Spirit
Damn I don’t know Elliot was basically an older DJ AK..even with how long winded he is..
Bruh really was hurt over the “you can’t say the n word” jawn😂.
🎯 🎯🎯🎯🎯🎯🎯🎯🎯🎯🎯🎯🎯🎯🎯🎯🎯🎯🎯🎯🎯🎯🎯🎯🎯🎯🎯🎯🎯🎯🎯🎯🎯🎯🎯
@iDewThis4Yu Drake is a Blackman who happen to have a Caucasian mother, as well as Elliot Wilson is a Blackman he can use the n-word.
I as a 44 years old Blackman only use the n-word when referring to our people who are contented in their ignorance or foolishness, however Drake has never made me cringe when he use the n-word he sound naturally when he says it and if he cant use the n-word then Kendrick shouldn't use the n-word.
The n-word is a racial hateful vile word not a slang word like Fat Joe once said foolishly.
The Hip-Hop community has spoken. If you don't believe it go outside. The greatest diss track wins. Not Like Us is an instant classic. It's bumpin everywhere.
DJhed explaining this perfect. Drake stepped over the family line. Kendrick gave him warnings not to. Then he went dirty. He stomping Drake out right now for overstepping the line. Don’t get caught up in the lies. Understand that this is apart of the game.
I think that’s the only angle that Drake thinks is scathing. I don’t think he is imaginative or a strong ENOUGH writer that can take certain angles like that.
Except Kendrick stepped over the line FIRST imo. Yes Drake did mention Whitney 1st but it wasn't disrespectful outside of just the fact he said her name. But even after that, on euphoria Kendrick said let's not get personal and to keep it friendly but later on in the very same song goes on to question drake’s parenting/fatherhood and how he's raising his son. That’s absolutely stepping over the family line especially after Kendrick just said let's not do that?
Facts!!!
@@PoohShimmy 🤦🏽♂️ did you not start from the begging of this beef? Pushups came before euphoria and quote these are lines from Drake. “Shit”ll probably change if his BM starts to kiss and tell” and “I be with some body guards like Whitney” … do the research first before stating anything about the beef.
@@DayDayBear14 I wouldn’t call that stepping over the line in anyway shape or form. But regardless Kendrick could’ve left it there after he said himself to keep it friendly and not personal but he chose to then go and question how drake was raising his son. That’s hypocritical af.
This isn’t a battle of Kendrick vs drake. This is a battle of hip hop vs culture vultures and cultural appropriations with Kendrick being the main spokesperson of hip hop and drake being the face of cultural appropriation. This is what DJ Hed is saying.
only cause Drake half white?
@@otwaldschipper4363not at all. Kendrick even called Adonis a Black man. It’s because Drake doesn’t comment on black strife or ills within his music. Every “goat” has done so except Drake. Even Wayne has a clear couple socially conscious focused songs. Since 2009 Drake prolly has single digit amount of bars even directed towards that.
@@otwaldschipper4363 No. Hip hop is not a race, it’s a culture and anyone can be ingratiated into the Hip hop culture if they move the right way. Drake move like a snake and Kendrick is telling you about his snake moves but y’all not listening. The world thinks that it’s appalling to be hiding a child but it not appalling. If Drake has another child or a bunch of children so what! That’s his business. Public figures are allowed to have private lives but Drake sleeping with his mentors girl while he was in prison is a snake move. Grown men looking at young girls is more common than people think. It’s creepy af but sad to say it’s not uncommon. Drake running around behind the scenes filing cease and desist letters on people’s music is stopping how these people make money and that’s a snake move.
@@otterdonnelly9959Facts!
That part!!!! drake is not and has never been hip hop
theres things that dj hed knows that he cannot expose being that he’s close friends with top dawg. but kendrick definitely has a crazy nuke up his sleeve that cannot be compromised. you can tell by the way hed is talking he knows about something
The boy is not getting the bigger picture, it is deeper than rap now. It's not entertainment anymore.
Drake killed Common?????
What???
That says a lot about these guys..
That surprised me too. How they fix they're mouth to say that one is beyond me.
This is how you know bias plays such a large part for some of the media. If you listened to stay scheming and thought it was better than commons response on the "remix" or "sweet"... I can not trust your ear and take... that's a go-go gadget/Mr. Fantastic/Monkey D Luffy Reach... I still say the "you Canada dry" line to this day.
I thought he lost to Common and Ludacris.
That "Canada Dry" line was epic...I don't remember common taking any L's
Somebody said it. Elliot and this other guy is so lost
Elliot begging Drake after he dissed you 😂 get some integrity and take that jacket off g
Elliot is compromised.
As he should. Drake clowned him before
Elliot laugh pissing me tf off
He sounds like a hyena smh
Bruh like fr I started to actually feel anger …it’s cuz u know it’s fake
Elliott gotta stop laughing so much.
STOP MAKING EXCUSES FOR DRAKE!!!
It’s not that he’s “lil brothering” Kendrick.
Drake at some point, whether his camp said it or he felt it, at some point, the thought crossed his mind, the same feeling Ja-Rule said about 50,
Feels that he’s really on one and don’t have it for Kendrick and if Drake ain’t writing his own lyrics(allegedly)
That would be a MONUMENTAL win for Kendrick because NOT ONLY did he beat Drake,
He beat him AND his Ghostwriting team!!!
💯💯💯
Whole career this lame gets passes cuz they need that chewish relationship or feature. They wonder why the game messed up.
Kednrick the wife beater
Drake is way better than pipsqueak tf u saying

Elliott and Hed gave us great insights from an insider perspective. Jeremy gave them space and helped with the history lesson. Excellent show for the culture and the time 🏆
Glad you liked it!! More to come
Great breakdown and insights from actual figures in the culture. We need more of this. 🔥🔥🔥
Thanks for watching! More to come
“I don’t take shots, I don’t drink” wholetime Ak be on his live gettin drunk 😂😂😂 mannn y’all boys too slick with the entendres
Great show! The J Cole assessment was fair! Hopefully Cole and Kdot r still friends and move on from this debacle!
glad people vibed with this!
01:08:00 The battle with Meek Mill 'Back to Back' was written by rapper daylyt. "Your best work was a LYT pack."
Great convo. DJHed was very much needed for this convo. Thank you to Elliott Wilson for letting him cook.
Breath of fresh air watching DJHed call out all the “paid for language” from Elliot.
GREAT FOR THE CULTURE 🏆
What is… 2 grown black men fighting? This culture is toxic asf!
@@preemie4800 if you actually listen to Kendrick, he’s just trying to be competitive. It’s part of the nature of this hip-hop. honestly Drake who’s taking a personal it should have never brought Family into this. What is the man supposed to do?
Ain’t no dam battle. It’s not a battle until Drake writes his own lyrics!!!
lol i feel you. It's insane after multiple GW exposals he wasn't put out...his stans are like it doesn't count when it's the pop record, everyone does it!
He didn’t even write back to back
True.
It’s a battle to prove who’s the better rapper / hip hop artist. Unfortunately in 2024 you don’t have to write your own lyrics to be a successful hip hop artist.
Salute DJHed
Elliot gon ride for his boys. They need to edit the volume down for his giggles tho. It's loud AF
I agree with the giggles
This beef was perfect. It got people to reflect on what is real Hip Hop.
Elliot would not let DJ Hed get this off. Elliot kept saying Drake hasn"t came directly at Kendricc with bars. DJ Hed was trying to make the point that Drake has not gone there, because he is incapable of going there. Drake has been the chosen one by the industry. He's been protected by UMG. Sure he may have street dudes around him. Because of this protection Drake fully believes he's a boss. Kendricc is that guy. He grew up on the blocc. He did his dirt. The hood, any hood fuccs with Kendricc cuz he stands on business. There's no one in Drake's camp telling Drake he false flagging basically and to stop befo it goes left. i'm sure the narrative about the shooting at The Embassy will be spun by Drake to try to legitimize how G he living.
Elliot keeps saying Drake doesnt see Kendrick as a worthy opponent. Thats not true. DJHed said it perfectly. Drake just does not have the lyrical capacity to spar with Kendrick, thats it. He also doesn't have enough info to even try to attempt to create a worthy diss record against him because Kendrick stays low and private.
Yea they fell for the master manipulator who included all these other dudes to hide the fact that he really had nothing to say to Kendrick smh and then him acting like Kendrick said light skin dudes can’t say nigga was super cringeworthy literally missing the absolute jewels dj he’s was dropping smh couldn’t even get through the interview because dude was trash
Like That: "Your best work is a lyt pack." Referrs to Drake's ghostwriter DAYLYT (battle rapper from LA). Claiming Drake's best stuff was made by Daylyt. --- Daylyt is responsible for most of Drake's biggest tracks.
Yep back to back and gods plans..and how u gonna have a ghostwriter on a battle track
You know how you go to a grocery store and the cashier ask if you want a receipt? But you say no... theres still a receipt out there...
It wasn’t just LA wit that unified feeling
We was ridin thru the streets announcing every Kendrick update in Baltimore too
Big S/O DJ Hed and all of you! Need real OGs speaking on the culture! Not kids or vultures
Hed is so done lol. Mans already said-- Drake is not coming any harder against Kendreick because he cannot. He literally does not have the ability to do that
Another winner. Three smart critics talking hip hop without fanning the flames of controversy is exactly what the culture needs. There are way too many uninformed "critics" giving their hot take with no real cultural expertise. We need more of this!
For this to be the first iteration of this content it’s extremely well done 🔥👌🏾
drake fans whole argument is he's the best because he sells the most records.
he gave you a few warnings Canadian Bro, you went for the Virginia/Whitney route again, you gonna ring on them, tell them they are fan girls, getting beat up, Dot child is with another man, they live separated and all that jazz, now deal with this Drizzy
My respect for DJHed has grown a lot today
Same
Dj Hed summed the whole conversation “HE’S A HABITUAL LINE STEPPER”. Drake been doing this for years and getting away with it because of his Mob ties affiliation. I hear radio personalities saying Drake got jumped, this is not a fair fight. You want to act tough, talk shit and act like you’re untouchable then be a man and take the ass whooping when it’s handed to you. You’re not tough Aubrey you’re an actor/rapper that makes good music and DJ. Hed Is giving you free advice. Stop playing UNO with chess players.
Elliott can hear the difference, but is too scared to say drake changed ghost writers
Elliot laughs have so much context in them. Boy speaking’ laughanese fluently
Why Elliot speaking like Common never dropped Sweet though?😂😂😂
Shout out DJ Hed very well spoken
Was I the only one who noticed that the end of Euphoria, "We don't wanna hear you say N***a no more," is a nod to Kanye's "We don't wanna hear that weak shit no more," on the track "Get em High" Kendrick said it the same way.
Yall have to boost this better on social media.
This interview was amazing
I like DJHed man, real west coast nigga that can articulate hisself. He representing all of us well. West Coast.
“He lacks the wherewithal to understand the bigger picture” explains the zoomed in pic of the gloves for 6:16 in LA and zoomed out photo for meet the grahams
Got to admit Elliot had a good attitude taking Hed’s points, but Hed killed this discussion.
I think Kendrick doesn’t like what Drake represents to the culture.
If they really want to change the culture for the long run they will do a record together to show the next generation how it’s done properly
cross promos! that's wassup
Rap Beef creating rap media unity
let's goooooo
Had to skip past the middle/end because Jesus Elliot just glazes over anyone
I really hate Elliot laugh 🤣
I appreciate DJ Hed so much!!!!!!!!
Drake doesn’t WRITE. He can’t rap against a real emcee. Stop 🛑 gassing this Drake facade
Even Kanye and Ross have admitted on both video that drake has written hours for them
@@datstuff1002 its almost like they're trying to rewrite Drakes narrative!
This NEEDS to go viral because this conversation explains it ALL!!! This is Chess NOT Checkers!!!
Rest in peace BBL DRIZZY
Great convo
I like this dynamic. Please keep these going if possible. Adult hip hop conversations is needed.
YN THE 🐐
He's not going to win a rap battle against Kendrick Lamar. And NOT! Felt that!!!!!
hed running from that “we don’t trust you” question lol. he know damn well what they asking. we know damn well dot got on that record knowing the subject of that album
That laugh 😡😡😡
Exactly.. sickening
DJ AM’s kick game is nice
Elliot, chill with the rahtid laughing, please. It is piercing my earbuds, respectfully. 😆
Hed isn't wrong and about Drake being in Compton... Just go listen to Wack talk about the 100 shoot... They had guys go secure the next spot for the video and Drake fled the spot as soon as the straps came out... Dude is goofy af and no real HIP HOP heads even rate The Boy... Fucking Canadian R&B singer... Should be doing features with Celine Dion
All i wanna see is DJ Hed take off the fitted so we can see that big ass dome 😂😂😂😂 no funny shit. He remind me of Ne-Yo wit that damn mega mind 😂😂
Why you gotta do that lmao!
That’s where he gets his name from he says it all the time
Elliot Wilson might need to retire from Hip-Hop media for damn sure that Kamammy Harris cackle needs to go
F the battle, what's up with all this ped bs.
I think what Kendrick took personal in First person shooter is Drakes first verse where he is dismissive of KDot when asking the girls who the Goat is. Also with everything we know now the “beat it” part of drakes final verse is a clear sub to Kendrick.
I think Drake is a master manipulator he knew Kendrick wouldn’t want to do a song with him. So Drake probably had Cole ask knowing Kendrick wouldn’t want to be on the song. So Drake and Cole do the record Drake takes his little shot in his first verse. But the final verse I’m sure J cole had no idea the “beat it” was a sub for DV allegations. That’s probably why Cole dropped out because that wouldn’t be something Cole would knowingly be apart of.
Elliot doesn’t speak for East coast … (Brooklyn rap fan here) Drake absolutely doesn’t represent East coast Rap … he’s a Toronto rapper. DJ Hed I agree with most of his opinions but he just rubs me the wrong way on his delivery “passing the message” My dude you’re a gossiper for a living/ DJ … He constantly said “With no disrespect” but his demeanor towards Elliot (which I also feel is annoyingly out of his depth) was patronizing. Elliot’s laugh to me is a defense mechanism when he feels awkward (very annoying to me). West coast WE DONT HATE you, some West coast rappers and fans have this inferiority complex when they shouldn’t. This was a West coast vs little Toronto. The Crown is in the right hands, on Kendrick Lamar. West Coast! DJ Hed come to NYC and talk to real Rap heads son.
I like this pod because it asks questions that no one else is asking.
They put this out too early without the new Drake diss, but I'm sure the option would be the same because it wasn't creative. 😅
Don’t think the new track changed the conversation
@UPROXXVideo That's what I said lol. 😆 Kendrick Lamar should take the W and not reply, but I'm sure he won't.
I don’t like that people keep saying he won against common. He used 4 bars and his popularity to beat common. Heavy on the popularity bc common really barred him down. He just used his four bars and popularity on a hit record so he didn’t have to go to war. Call that what it really was. If you say he won that say why he won that
19:54 'the art we gave you.. He gave you'... 😂😂😂 Hed is personally invested in this since the beginning
elliot would be 10x impactful if he could hide his biases
I agree with all their points. Very good video. Love DJ Hed
What do you think about this battle? Is this the greatest back and forth ever? Let us know all of your thoughts in the comments.
Editor's note: This was filmed a few hours before Drake dropped "The Heart Part 6"
Lil Buddy in the middle taking subs at Akademiks is nasty work
This is indeed the greatest back and forth in rap ever. From the build up to know, it's being covered by almost every major news station and I've seen a few even trying to breakdown bars lol. Whatever come after this drastically changes hip hop again.
I think Drake should STFU. I think Hed is trying to forewarn him.
This battle shows that Drakes had music industry executives & behind the scenes ppl directing his movement & its way over due for him to be called out on his actions & he’s on top being a guest… he made the track Diplomatic Immunity thinking he’s untouchable when we all have seen & know anybody can get it!
Damn Elliott you’re a rough listen on the AirPods gee with that laugh 😬
Man i am super excited what the history books will write over "The War of the Kings"
716 to like this
I am now amazed to be a part of Hip hop history
Hiho, greezts from GER and pls go and Never stop...:)
I like Kendrick and Drake but grown men need to stop telling other other grown men when to stop fighting and step down
If you been on top of charts and you've been selling and you are a rapper/popstar. And you've been on top of the mountain for 10 to 13 years you don't step down because of your opponent or what anybody else says.
Whether I'm Drake or Dot
Stop speaking for other people regardless if you know that person personally or not let them make their own decision.
Gosh couldn’t get through one cohesive thought or topic. It was all over the place I need the clips with just Hed and the Canadian dude. This was all over the place really wanted to hear what Hed had to say.
DJhed funny as hell lmao
Kdot felt the need to stand up for real hip hop
It is crazy that Elliot has on the Scropion jacket 😂
1:16:10 DJ Hed was cookin
Drake is a good artist rapper right now. Give me Krit Kendrick Sean
This just reminds how crazy it is that people think or ever thought Elliot was the GOAT anything.
Elliott's laugh is contagious.😂😂😂
Drake: Do you remember how the verse starts though?
Everyone: Them super powers gettin' neutralized, I can only watch in silence
The famous actor we once knew is lookin' paranoid, and now spiralin'...
