- This is a 30 minute BARRE workout that can easily be done at home! All you need is a kitchen chair or counter. We target the ABS, ARMS, LEGS, and BUTT with this one so get ready to firm it all up and burn calories with the cardio section as well!
Disclaimer: 7 months pregnant baby bump :) I am pregnant but THIS IS NOT A PRENATAL WORKOUT. Girlfriends you should ALWAYS consult your doctor about exercises before trying them when pregnant. A note to pregnant women that may be doing this: talk to your doctor/physiotherapist before doing crunches. They’re generally not safe during pregnancy because they cause diastasis recti

Awesome workout. I have no history in ballet or done a bar workout before, but I really enjoyedthis. Thought it would be an easy workout seeing that you were pregnant but surprisingly I am sweating.

Great workout, just had to modify the ab section since most of it is not 3rd trimester friendly ab exercises. The rest of the workout was amazing. I will be adding it to my weekly routine. :)
this was great sometimes I cant make it to a live barre class so this does the trick with an 30-60 min on my stationary bike Its great full body workout. Only thing i changed was twists with i knees which I m sure would be hard with pregnancy and I added some funky background dance music!

Kel, I know you posted this years ago but I have been doing this 30-minute workout for the past 3 weeks during my third trimester and it's the perfect amount of challenge (I often have to pause and rest a few times to catch my breath). Just double-checking -- the floor routine is safe for women 31 weeks and later?

My back tends to arch a bit as i lower the legs on the ab workout section. Is that ok or should the entire spine be pasted on to the floor?

Don't arch, try to put your entire spine on the floor. When arching, meaning you are not using enough of your core, or your core is not strong enough. So if you find it's hard to keep pasting on the floor, keep your legs higher a little bit to get that straight back. Otherwise, you may hurt your back. Hope this helps!

Claudia Garcia hi! Sorry it’s taken me so long to get back to you. I believe the workout minus the mat section to be safe for pregnancy as long as you clear it with your doctor :) usually abdominal work like crunches and planks are discouraged when pregnant ❤️ thank you!!!

Is this whole workout safe to do while pregnant? Not sure what trimester you're in during this workout.
Great workout! But question. Are these exercises okay to do while pregnant? I see you're doing them, but you did this even before you were pregnant.
Thank you! And great question. These exercises should be ok for pregnant women with the exception of the ab work on the mat at the end of the workout. My doc is really chill and ok with it bc Ive been doing it the entire pregnancy and am still able to without injuring myself. However, I do believe most doctors do not recommend pregnant women do ab work or lie flat on their back while working out at all, especially in the 2nd and 3rd trimester :)
Alexis Pereda I agree with your reply. A disclaimer should definitely be added for those unaware of what the safe limits are cause some of those moves for the novice without good understand of breath and pelvic floor/core control and body awareness, can put a lot of strain on the diastasis recti and back.

Made it to 21 minutes but as Kel says in the notes, this is NOT a prenatal workout. That's a hard no from me to full planks and crunches, especially after 20 weeks!

Marina Marshall most abdominal work is discouraged when pregnant including crunches and planks because it can cause diastasis recti. A few people have given me a hard time about it on this video and I get it but it is up to the mother to decide with her doctor. This is not a prenatal workout but if you are looking for one there are a couple on my channel as well as lots on CZcams :)
I’m 8 month pregnant and it the work out was going well until the floor workouts!! 😳 even if your doctor is chill with it, you shouldn’t be laying on your back in the 2nd and 3rd trimester, it’s cutting off blood flow to your baby!! And all that ab work you’ll get diastsis recti where your ab muscle separate. And laying on your stomach, even for a second just can’t be good in anyway.
