Being a part of a Stephen King adaptation is definitely exciting but you might be surprised by all of the strict rules these celebrities were expected to follow behind the scenes. Bill Skarsgard terrified the child actors during the first movie but how did the adult cast of IT Chapter Two react? We’ll also talk about what problem Bill Hader had with Finn Wolfhard and how Jessica Chastain helped escalate the situation. Even following the rules was often hazardous thanks to the film’s reliance on special effects, just ask James McAvoy who ended up with lingering injuries. Director Andy Muschietti was intent on getting all the scenes perfect, but Isaiah Mustafa admits this was tough on the actors. Before the cameras could even begin filming, the kids had to go through an intense digital de aging process to make them look more like they did a few years ago. Pennywise the Dancing Clown is definitely scary, but most of the cast’s most frightening moments on set don’t actually involve him at all! Most of them were allowed to take their props. They even had it shipped to him. Sophia was told she wasnt supposed to take the shoes but didnt get in any trouble 😂 Chosen took the fake ciggerettes Bev was smoking and nearly gave him mom a heart attack!! In the same interview Isaiah said he took everything and Bill he didnt take anything.

I could definitely tell the kid actors seemed off when filming the new scenes, but I still say they did an amazing job. The adult actor and child actor for Eddie look exactly alike. Bill Skarsgard is amazing. One of the best movies of all time for sure.

I'd really like to see a featurette on how they accomplished Pennywise emerging from the refrigerator. That was a truly mind-bending sequence and if much of it was practical, that would make it even more fascinating and impressive.

I remember watching the first IT as a kid in the 90s and while it was scary in some scenes in others the Pennywise character seemed a bit cheesy, this new version would have terrified me much more than the 90s version I cant think of anyone who could have portrayed Pennywise so perfectly after seeing Bill Skarsgard's rendition, he nailed it.

Chapter 2 was a little too comical to be scary for me. I still really liked the film but the first one's sense of dread was lost in this one because of the silly moments. Like the vomiting leper, lets play goofy music during or the Henry Bower's scenes were watered down to be nothing but jokes even when stabbing Eddie.

in richie's clown scene, you can see the 1990 pennywise on the left of the coffin.
All this time I thought the childhood flashback scenes were actually shot in advance back when part 1 was being filmed. That is a testament to the masterful retouch work that was done. I'm gonna go watch Chapter 2's flashback scenes more closely & with a newfound appreciation.
