when it comes to Randy Rhoads on his time with Ozzy, theres only 2 people that i believe, Dana Strum amd Tommy Aldridge. ALL the others either exxagerate or just flat out lie to make themselves look good or part of the story. Strum and Aldridge have never changed their stories over the years. Dana is a genious...all credit goes to him for seeing what others could not about Randy. That time when Randy first joined Ozzy is easily the most fascinating part of that story. Years ago, Strum told the WHOLE story about how Randy actually met Ozzy the next day at his hotel and it didnt go well at first...man, i wish hed tell that again. Ozzy making a wise crack about Randy being gay and Randy, annoyed and kind of fed up, flat out told Ozzy "look man, if youre looking to do that Sabbath type shit, im not the guy...im not interested"...Ozzy then getting annoyed about that remark...and then Dana stepping in and kind of smoothing things over, and cooler heads prevailed. Not sure why he doesn't tell that part anymore...just fascinating, historic stuff.
