Al was wrong stating that it was Jaco's first time in the studio (1975). Paul Bley's album "Jaco" was recorded on June 16, 1974 and it featured Jaco himself and Pat Metheny. By the way, I just attended Al's concert in Montreal and it was so great! Took me back to 1981, the first time I saw him live.

GARY was THE drummer who worked with the late great ALLAN HOLDSWORTH... He played on so many great albums with him which we all remember..... Back in 1982 on the IOU album (which was recorded on a barge on a river I'm told) ,,,,Road Games ,,,Metal Fatigue, Atavachron, Sand, Secrets, Warden Cliff Tower, Hard Hat Area etc .....I have them all on vinyl and CD......I think that Gary & Allan worked so well together was because they were BOTH great improvisers . Things weren't set, they were they were in free flow flux & they both played off each other brilliantly. When I first heard Gary play with Allan back in the 1980s what I didn't realize what an accomplished PIANIST he is. The stuff Gary & Allan did together is legendary. (Paul)

Ed was just a straight guy ,,,,'The best guitarist of all time' compliment was something that seemed to embarrass him actually. When Piers Morgan interviewed him for CNN & said what is it like to have the title 'The Best guitarist in the World' because many people think that you are'.....Ed just fell into silence & with this expression on his face of just SHEEPISH BEMUSEMENT Ed just said -'Well, uurr,,,,,,,I didn't come up with the title' 🤨🥴....lolol ....& On the 'Rock Star' thing others projected onto him he would make JOKES about it , like - 'Yeah, I'm a 'rock star' , I couldn't find a clean shirt this morning' ! ,,,,or - 'Yeah I'm a 'rockstar' I'm off to repair the garage door' ! ....lol

That would be LOVELY for Wolf to see footage of his DAD enthusing about his playing....There's no 'money' to equal this.

Al said he would be a better player if he went to school officially. That is interesting because the great reggae guitarist Earl "Chinna" Smith said Al is the man. I am not a musician, but a few years ago I was in the front row of a Wailers concert in Canada, and I was mesmerized by the stuff Al was doing with his guitar.

These Japanese Female Jazz players are fantastic. I saw them in Perth and was really impressed with their talent and the groove that that they create.. Another impressive, Japanese female Jazz band, checkout the Jazz Avengers, an 8 piece thats world class.

They are not fading out in the slightest. Just saw them and it was a phenomenal performance. Can't believe it's been 30 years. Honestly the age range covered the whole spectrum which I was happy to see. Also solved the mystery of the most used guitar in the show, mostly the Saul Koll Super Cub I believe. Good for us Brent is local, and also as tickets sold out across the board... No excuse for a next time soon in Oz.
