The way you clearly explain, and especially even take the time to show how NOT to do it and WHY! this is so invaluable for those of us just getting started in learning calligraphy! I love your descriptions of the background of the letters from early manuscripts as well as showing the different variants etc. Thank you so much for taking the time on each of your videos!
You have to be the best Teacher I've had the pleasure of listening to. I do so understand your instructions so much more than I've understood in a live class. I highly recommend your Channel to whomever I come across that has an interest in Calligraphy.

Oh gosh, feeling quite nostalgic, this is what Chris showed me how to write when we did a few lessons .. I remember having to do the boxes to gauge height for the letters and to remember to not scratch up with the pen/stylus and we did a have a go at cutting a pen from a decent fat feather quill also showed me how to apply gold leaf and how to take the excess off. We always kept the gold crumbs for something else. Thank you for your video xx

Perfect tutorial. I just started with learning calligraphy and your video shows more than any of others.
