Opinion but I think the best places to spend money is On the offensive line and defensive line. Everything starts in the trenches. O line protects the qb most important player in game while giving time to throw open recievers
And open the run game witch flows any offense and the d line being good can make great qbs mediocre once the hits and pressure come in. And a really good d line makes the whole secondary better. Giants got Barkley one best running prospects in long time and are up soon to draft a qb. So moving guys like Odell gives y’all money that can now be used better spent elsewhere. I think New York City went to Odell’s head, for me this is a good move for him personally. The last 4 games this season they basically stopped throwing him the roc and he was obviously frustrated about it when he went on that interview with Wayne. Why would they get fired when the owner wanted to do this clearly. They know that one WR does not make you win and they are no where near competing. Couldn't disagree more. First off, Giants have only had 1 winning season since we had Odell. Yes he has tons of individual talent. Horrible teammate and doesn't work well with others. Also hasn't had a complete season in 4 years because of how injury prone he is. Freed up so much cap space to fix the defense. We got 2 first round talent value players in wholes that need to be filled. I still don't think that letting go of Collins was a good move, but looking at the bigger picture, this was a great move on Gettleman.

Being a veteran doesn’t mean you don’t need to produce . It’s pretty obvious to see. And obj’s a diva with one of the most dangerous pair of hands in the league. Keeping vets like Brady, Big Ben, Aaron Rodgers, drew brees makes sense. Keeping eli doesn’t.

I just don't understand how you choose an overrated scrub 38 year old quarterback in Eli Manning over a generational wide receiver talent in Odell Beckham Jr. Sure, Odell's a diva but he's nowhere near the cancer that Antonio Brown is. Finishing 3-13 in a season where they were a trendy Super Bowl pick, finishing 5-11 in a potential bounce back year, and then trading away their best player for practically nothing has officially made the Giants the biggest laughing stock in the NFL. Here’s what I don’t understand, how do you not get rid of a 38-year-old quarterback who is obviously struggling to be a starting quality quarterback or even a back up quarterback at this point in his career but you get rid of a promising safety who is still on his rookie contract, a star wide receiver who has barely even touched his prime yet, defensive end who can still contribute, two corners who can contribute to your football team because there’s nobody who was available at the time better than them but you still can’t get rid of a 38-year-old quarterback?
