RIGHT??? My parents and I just rewatched it the other day and my dad let it go through the whole credit because of the music and we saw the date and I was like hold up. TEN YEARS?
I AM SO EXCITED TO HEAR HER SING. I loved her in West side story. Also, I just know my heart is going to break into a million pieces for Sejanus and Peter Dinklage for Casca is such a fabulous casting choice. Aaaahhhh can't wait for the movie.

As of right now, the movie’s runtime is probably going to be around 3 hours so this means there’s going to be a lot of book content in it thank GOD

To hear what Lucy sounds like, just watch the new version of 'West Side Story' directed by Steven Spielberg. Rachel Zegler made her film debut as Maria, the leading female character straight out of high school! She'll also be playing the live-action Snow White for Disney next year. Her voice is amazing!

I know I’m a month late to see this reaction but I agree! I was always confused when people complained and talked about this book like it was a love story, especially being in snows head it didn’t seem like that at all to me
I literally don't see where people get it. The man's a narcissist and it's so so obviously a control issue. IDK maybe I'm just super hyper aware of that behavior due to past abusive relationships and stuff XD

For ages I heard a lot of criticisms about the book, and it’s fair enough if people don’t like it, but I saw a lot of reviews say that they hate how it makes Snow sympathetic and that they hated him having a love story and how that made him ‘bad’ and then I read the book… and I was so confused because none of that was the case😭. I felt like a different book entirely from the reviews. Especially with Snow’s inner dialogue to me it was pretty clear who he was as a person and how it’s about control and owning rather than love.
@@clover2739 YUP. I had a huge fight with a friend about it and I was like if you think this is love I think you need therapy (kindly) cause this is so messed up.
@@yubyubcommander yeah! Like I have a feeling the movie might make people confused in that regard depending on how it’s portrayed. But especially in the book and hearing how Snow thinks of Lucy Gray in his head… that’s not love even though he thinks it is, just like how he talks in his head like he’s a good person doing the right thing when we can clearly see by his actions and thoughts that that’s not the case.
I think maybe a lot of romance books could be the issue of why people might see it as a love story, because sadly a lot of ya romance books tend to romanticise toxic relationships
@@clover2739 Legit I thought the same thing. I'm a former Teen Services Librarian and that was our biggest gripe with YA was how little a lot of the books (especially popular series) showcased healthy relationships. It made it so difficult to promote books to our younger readers due to the content showcased as "love."
It is not clear if Lucy is a Katniss ancestor. Zegler said the bow was an ad-lib. One report said Zegler 'hit it out of the park' with one of the songs she performed as Lucy.

@@yubyubcommander it’s most likely that Maude Ivory is the close ancestor. However Lucy Gray Baird and Maude Ivory are cousins so technically Lucy Gray Baird is related to Katniss.
