I sold my 2019 Dodge Challenger Scat Pack Widebody after test driving a Tesla model 3 Performance in 2021.
The more challengers I see the more I like their styling I just don’t think I can do with the gas bills lol
And now the model s price is very appealing even the plaid is more appealing than the 100k+ dodge equivalent

@@DOUGMACYes, I was a diehard Detroit muscle car guy my whole life but they are always traction limited, especially on the street. The Tesla is always a catapult launch with immediate max torque firmly connected to the pavement.

I own a model 3 performance and love it, however rented a hemi charger in Alaska and loved it. Can't wait tell pull thru ev chargers are available so that towing something with an ev can become an option
Got the same spec TM3P but with blue exterior..love it! Scatpacks are easy to take down even with slicks, maybe hellcats too but not if it’s on slicks
I had blue for my first M3, I miss it 😢 stock hellcats are maybe a tenth or two faster but then it comes down to reaction time as well

Great job with the video. You got a lot of exciting races in there. You really need to get a way to monitor temperatures instead of just guessing where they are at. Your channel is getting big enough. See if you can get a free sample of the S3XY buttons. Also get a Dragy so you can post the times up to the leaderboard. That is a great way to keep track of your times and share them with the community. If you can get lightweight 18” wheels it will help. I know it is a big cost and you like the look of the UberHeavies but it will get you down in that low 7.2 range if not 7.1 range. If you can take the seats out for just one session you can show what a big difference that will make. You could probably go 7.0X if you do everything. Your car is already quick even completely stock.
The Tesla Plaid Channel runs 6:05s in the 1/8th... That would be more interesting after watching your race. Great reaction time on both! Thanks!
Different tiers of racing. The Plaid guy needs to race extremely fast 9 second cars to make it close. The model 3 perf is quick, low 11's 1/4 most likely, but putting it against 1000+ horse cars would be where the plaid comes in

It’s a RaceBox, I use it for 0-60 times but it also works as a lap timer. I am purely stock on my car, I use it as my daily so I don’t want to mess with it really
I use mine for daily drives also. I was spending about $180 a week for gas in my truck to drive to work and my truck is getting older now with 75,000 miles. So, this is my new work/ play car. I love it. I actually bought a car in 2008 . When gas prices where over $4 a gallon. It was a 2001 Chevy Prism. It got 40 miles per gallon and I called it my Hoopty! Lol So, this is my Hoopty 3.0! Lol

I love both cars, but I bought a M3P since it was my daily. I plan to add a Hellcat to my garage one day for a weekend cruiser. Best of both worlds!
That sounds like a great garage! I keep leaning towards a c8 corvette if I wanted a weekend car, I like the styling a lot
I daily the Model 3 Performance and am looking into a GT350 for the weekends. I also have a Dinan E46 M3.
My hellcat charger was made to run the quarter-mile not the 8th mile. No traction coming out of the hole but very good on the big end.

Try putting the stopping mode into roll rather than hold. You'll get a much more aggressive launch from a dig because the brakes won't need to disengage first.
So are you keeping your left foot on the brake and then mashing the right down and left up off the brake to launch?
No, because if you put your left foot on the brake it'll engage the hold, but as long as you're on level ground it won't roll back/forward. You launch as you normally would with one foot, but just harder since the car is free to go instantly. Also I love your videos! Makes me want to take my M3P to the track! @@RichOnTrack

Do you adjust your tire pressure?
Nope mainly cause I’m too lazy to air back up at 10pm at night. I did some testing and it didn’t seem to make a difference

Love your videos.... I have a M3P. It's good to see it on the track against other cars. Nice knowing what it can do...I can't keep buying tires so I don't take mine to the track. I'm getting some work done on mine by the Tesla service center so they gave me a loaner Tesla Model S plaid. That's in a completely different League. Lol 😅

@@RichOnTrack can you even performance upgrade the plaid? I get cosmetic. 😂 It's amazing you can get into a plaid for under $90,000 now. Just last year or two years ago it was 120k.

@@RichOnTrack Gotcha...I seen some guys testing the plaid. tops out at 174 I think, But that track pack gives you that extra 26mph. Would be helpful in Germany.
Ive had the loaner for a few days. I've done drag strip mode for a few friends. Its amazing. The shit part is the loaner is speed locked to 85. you get there in about 2.5 seconds and the fun is over. lol

I see the map is still running during your run. You need to turn off pre-conditioning before running. You're losing HP because you're running it while driving. Turn it off when you pull up.

I’d like to see the American muscle cars with AWD and better launch control. The Dodge cars stock have trouble putting their power down at launch.

Only the Model X Plaid can beat the Model 3 Performance. The Model X Longe Range is over a half a second slower than the Model 3 Performance from 0 - 60...
From what I was told you’re supposed to turn off the Nav supercharger before you actually race for max performance. 🧐

Hellcats need a lot more tire. But who runs on an 8th mile. Everywhere around me is quarter mile. That’s where I catch them is on the top end.

Not an apples to apples comparison because the Hellcat is Dodge's most powerful whereas the Model 3 is Tesla's SMALLEST in their lineup.
Put the Hellcat up against the Model S Plaid and see!
