Shocking! I remember a review of the The Colour Of Spring in the NME. To the effect that "Talk Talk are a progressive rock band" (in sneering tones!). Cnuts!

Sadly its 5 years this week that Mark succumb to his cancer. But his music, even after all this time sounds fresh and so vibrant to listen to and enjoy. Taken away far too early and his amazing music will stay with me for all my days . Thank you Mark .

I think Tears For Fears is the best band….post Beatles, of course. Talk Talk is up there…way up there.

It's never too late buddy this band is timeless they've got such a unique sound I love the way the music goes up and down he brings up the tone down when he wants to say some words or sing a little bit and then the music goes up and the tone goes up with the music and then nobody says anything it's just a unique way of working a song so that we can all hear and understand what the message is and what he's saying I don't think any other band cared about it like he did

A very touching video ... When we watch all live Talk Talk, none has aged. This is the only group that makes this effect. What an exceptional and extraordinary group. The charismatic, hypnotic, magnetic presence of Mark is for many, and his music and songs are timeless, they pass every decade without a wrinkle. An immense talent too underestimated for my taste (it always rebelled me a lot, I who adore Mark since ... 1984). Seeing it, like that, on this beautiful video, tears my heart as he left too young. What a wonderful artist, what an immense sorrow. In my heart and my mind forever, I love you Mark.💔💔😪❤❤

I was at this gig and it was the most electrifying concert I have ever been to....

I remember it like it was yesterday, my best friend got freaked out by a bag that was left in the isle in front of us because of bomb threats back then in London.
There was such a relief when it's owner came back from the toilet and moved it...
I remember as we were leaving I knocked Gary Davis (BBC radio 1 DJ) over as he was standing in the isle posing .... I looked in his eyes as he lay across the seats and said "oooh Gary Davis----oooh Gary Davis" ( that was his jingle on his radio show).
I bet he would remember that, as I totally winded him.

I want a time machine. I was 18 in the US Navy then, probably in boot camp. A Talk Talk concert would have been preferable. I did at least have their tapes!
I was there too - absolutely the most memorable gig I've ever been to. My wife (to be) had never heard of them but was dancing in the aisles by the end.

It's hard to grow up listening to prog music from the early Genesis with Peter Gabriel "reading" the lyrics to me! Wow, I remember how graceful of aoidos he was! And then one day back in 1984 I heard Mark Hollis in a concert singing this song with the band jamming with him and I was shocked! What is this sound, who sings like another aoidos, who are these guys? Talk Talk about what? For two weeks back then I was debating whether Peter was better than Mark, but at the end I recorded a tape with a perfect blend of Genesis and Talk Talk tunes harmonized by the voices of these two musicians. I am still listening to the tape after 40 years!! Haven...
