    Just discovered them in one room of my house luckily just on one bed, bought some spray from walmart that took care of them. I covered the room in diatomacias earth including the mattress, put mattress covers on them, sprayed every crack on the bed frames twice. Took the frames apart and cleaned everything with vinegar and than put it back together with diatomaceous earth in all the cracks.

    Yes, these heaters are designed to work off your home/apts power service. Each heating element requires 12amps and the fan requires another 12 amps. Which means you can run a 4 power cords from 4 different outlets on for different circuits plus one for the fan. Or you can power all the heating elements with 240V power supply - Electric range outlet or dryer outlet. They can also be hard wired directly into your electrical panel.

      Definitely not! This is a very safe, all heaters have thermostat shut off. The other thing to remember is that it is about air movement, meaning the heated air needs to constantly circulate back through the heater. With each cycle it gets hotter.

That's what an exterminator said to a friend a while ago. He Said the the unfinished basement with only concrete walls and floor would be a haven for them because it's cool? Honestly, can this work in all applications? If so, tha would be amazing!!! Just asking. Looking forward to your experienced answer and reply. :-)

    • @erdyespestcontrolllc3754
      @erdyespestcontrolllc3754  Před 7 lety +3

      That's the beauty of these electric systems. With electrical systems the temp rises slowly, more so than propane units. Lets use the frog in the boiling pot of water theory. If you toss a frog into a boiling pot of water it jumps right out, but if you put a frog in a pot of water and slowly and steadily raise the temp to a boil by the time the frog realizes it, its already cooked. Second bedbugs are not attracted or drawn to cold empty (no host or food source) spaces. They prefer to be close to a warm host.Third if treating a muti-unit facility upper and lower apartments it may be possible to push them between floors. However this is more often done when a tenant or landlord buys over the counter "repellant based" chemicals to attempt to do treat by themselves.

    • @davidbrinkhurst5359
      @davidbrinkhurst5359 Před 7 lety

      Awesome. Thanks for that! Very interesting. So, then there are NO limitations as to whether a house has a developed basement or not? It will work well either way? Are there limitations with this type at all? You mentioned 95% success. What seems to comprise the 5%? How did you get converted to the Heat only, or have you always been? Doing it for how long? What improvements could there be made to any of it? Sorry for the questions, but just wondering? Cost to Rent them or buy? Are there better types/ brands to use? Best one? Thanks buddy in advance:-)

      As far as limitations go it is really just about setup, following our pre-treatment check list (downloadable from our website). It is 100% effective, kills all bedbugs in one treatment, eggs, larva, adults. We switched to heat as soon as we could afford to purchase a good system, we have been using this system for almost a year now and would never go back to our old method. Virtually no call backs, very happy customers. We sell and rent them as well for pricing please give me a call to discuss.

    I would like to know since I live in public housing and where I live there are a hundred units in this 5 story low rise. Over,80 %of the bld is still infested with bedbugs, which, housing authority, continues to treat the units with a pesticide that only band aides the units. For them to return. Now I have just been infested in my unit on the 5th floor after being there for 1yr. I informed the manager immediately, and I was told, the same pesticide treatment will be used in my unit. ( all units are 1 bdrm ) . With only two treatments. Any other treatments will be at my expense. This building is occupied for we elderly and disabled seniors w/ mH challenges. What are my options. Should I relocate. ( possible homelessness. Throw away both my bedroom set and living room set. ( infested as well) protective covers for all furniture?, Or public housing will not do heating.last. what is the chances with what I explained, will my unit be infested again.

    • @kingsolomon5956
      @kingsolomon5956 Před 3 lety +8

      It was easy for me to get rid of them
      I just bought a steamer. Basicially the steamer that you can use for your clothes or cleaning furniture etc. It was cheap too. All you do is fill it up with water (it takes about a half gallon or so), then you screw the hand held attachment on and wait about 7-8 minutes for it to heat to boiling. Then I literally steamed every square inch of my apartment. The steam is dreadfully hot. In addition to that I saturated every spot with hot shot bed bug killer and bombed the place with bed bug killer as well. The steamer worked fantastically because they died instantly upon being just touched by the super hot steam. Haven't seen any since and that was years ago.

    • @kingsolomon5956
      @kingsolomon5956 Před 3 lety +3

      You just have to have patience to use the steamer. It's extremely extremely effective. Anything the steam reaches is dead as the steam is over 212 degrees. You can steam your entire carpet. Every crevice of you bed, furniture Every crack where the floor meets the wall etc... It just takes time to completely steam everything by hand but it works. The only way they survive is if they are in a place that you didn't steam.

      @kingsolomon5956 Před 2 lety +1

      @@ObeyaCorpsArmory Home Depot has a great selection. Next would be Lowe's and last would be Walmart because their selection is the smallest. You can literally steam everything and everywhere so it works great. Its like a shower head that's detachable with the steam so hot you cant put your hand in the steam but it goes where ever you direct it to. Check out the selection and decide which one would be the most efficient.

      Can I really steam a bed? I wonder if they are across the hall into my office room I barely use as well. Or if I could just steam my simple bedroom and hallway and call it good. Unfortunately if they are at my neighbors apartment they will probably just come right back over the next day
