That's so awesome man. That spot in front of the pool is good but I find the bream hang right up at your feet on the high tide - best to cast parallel to the rocks from a decent distance. Had some good ones on surface that way.
Thanks Niall, I usually use divers there super snaggy and they get you on the rocks often. I'll have to give it a go with the surface if the conditions are right there because I have a bunch of lures I need justify purchasing lol

There is heaps of soapies around georges river the Past week ranging from 1kg-3kg, ive been using baits that normally people will never use for jewies/soapies. (prawns cut up peaces of pillies And bread.

Thanks Mark! I think I collected one small integral piece of the big picture that day. I was trying to absorb the moment how they were swarming and the splashes and boof sounds they were making. I've always doubted that I could identify them at night because I never had proof until that day! I'm sure I fluked it but with a lure in the water, there's always that chance lady luck smiles! 😁
@@ShroomFishing Oh yeah you can definitely hear jew feeding of a night in the right conditions. I've seen a couple smash mullet just on dusk at the back of Bantry Bay in middle harbour. Saw one that looked 25 kilos launch completely out of the water with bully mullet showering everywhere in daylight on the Clarence once.

No, unless it was a pelagic like a kingfish which would normally reside outside of the river. Anything east of the Harbour Bridge is fine to eat within dietary limitations though

First one that got me on the rock I have no idea. The second one just before the jewfish was another jewfish. I just didn't know at that time. The trebles must have pulled out from a weak hookset as they have boney mouths
