In this video Dave gives the van a right good clean up. He uses Fenwick’s products for the first time and brightens up the locker seals with a Ronseal grout pen. Thanks for watching, leave a comment & subscribe to the channel for more videos. Cheers Dave & Helen 👍

I have to agree Rob, I was really pleased with it. Thanks very much for watching & leaving a comment. Cheers Dave & Helen 👍
Some great info iv heard of the cleaning fluid your using looks like it just does the job. Iv still got my caravan and it does need a good clean. So a warmer day van and caravan that will definitely keep me busy.
Nice one Smithy, I am really pleased with the result. Thanks for watching ATB to you & Suzy 👍
Great video Dave. Will be getting our caravan out for a clean. Fingers crossed it will not be to bad. The roof is the worst part of any caravan. Take care 🙂
Thanks Paul & Sarah, all of that bending & stretching has left me aching this morning 😂 Thanks for watching. Cheers Dave & Helen 👍
Lovely job!! just done mine myself 🧽 , surprising how fast they can get dirty , have a great weekend 👍😀
Cheers Mike, thanks for watching (so early in the morning). Squeaky clean until we hit the roads 👍 Cheers Dave & Helen
Thanks for making me feel so guilty, I now need to go and wash my caravan 😂👍
Sorry Mark but you know you’ll feel better when you’ve done it 👍 Thanks for watching, cheers Dave & Helen
Lovely job..
Hi Ken, thanks for watching 👍
That’s one shiny caravan, keen to see how the Ronseal grout pen holds up 👍
Yeah and today I ache 😂
@@HelenandDave 😂😂😂
Nice job very sparkly, first wash always the worst. I've been using both types of Aldi's caravan shampoo and spray cleaner, they've been very good. Use a plastic scraper edge to remove the excess sealant then reseal with CT1 or whatever good quality one you use.
Cheers Mike 👍
Just watched your video. We have always used autoglym for yrs but I've just ordered the hubbie some fenwicks shampoo and bobbie dazzler. 😂😎. ALISON.x
Ah nice one Alison. I hope he’ll be pleased with it 😊. Thanks for watching and leaving a comment, Cheers Dave 👍
Nice one. Now just bring up north and you can fettle Desmond LOL
Ha ha fettle 😊 thanks for watching Dave 👍
Good video. My van is on the drive and filthy. Will need a clean in a couple of weeks before it is dusted down and taken out for the first trip of the year in mid-April. I will be using Fenwicks, too...
Can't wait to get out there even though the van should have been replaced last year according to plan. Sadly COVID had other plans for the year and there was no point getting a new one only to see it rest on the drive. Maybe towards the end of THIS season, then (if there are any vans available by that time).
Hi Raymond, yeah we’re getting excited to get out. Gotta feeling it’s gonna be busy. Thanks for watching. Cheers Dave & Helen 👍
I find the fenwicks undiluted works even better on the black stuff.
That’s good to know Steve, I’ll give it a go 👍
On security. A few years ago we bought a brand new Lunar and air awning from a dealer some distance away from our home. At our request they fitted a Fiamma security handle, as I need a bit of help getting up steps this doubles as a handrail. We took the 'van to a CL close to the dealer, intending to spend a few days checking everything was okay before leaving the dealers area, and we were the only people at that site. Returning to the caravan after a few hours out and about we discovered that some 'sweet and adorable' people had attempted to steal it. They had pulled of the awning, which was still inflated and upside down, coiled up an extension lead that they couldn't unplug because the socket was inside a locked locker, and raised 2 of the legs. They had tried to get inside the caravan but were prevented by the Fiamma lock, although they did damage the wall of the 'van where the lock was fitted. The raising of a third leg triggered the alarm so they beat a swift retreat. They hadn't been able to remove the Alko hitch lock or the motorbike chain which was looped through a wheel. All in all damage to the tune of £2,500 was done BUT they didn't manage to take the caravan. Since this episode we have had 2 other new caravans, both of which have had security locks fitted by the dealers. The caravans have the Alko wheel lock on the nearside and we bought a Nemesis lock for the offside wheel. We have locks for all the leg stays, fit the Alko hitch lock as we unhitch and still use our trusty motorbike lock through a wheel. Yes, I know this might not deter a determined thief, but all these measures are noted by our insurance company, along with our Tracker info. It does give us the peace of mind that we have done all that we can to secure our home from home. So to all you caravanners out there, please please please invest in some security for your caravan. It's money very well invested.
My goodness Denise, I can’t begin to imagine how that must have made you feel. Put it this way, your security made the job a lot harder and took the low lives a lot longer to try and steel your van than it otherwise would have done. Thank you for sharing this. A wake up call for us all. Cheers Dave & Helen 👍
Great job but you clearly need more practice and experience and as a gesture of good will I am offering you the opportunity to clean my caravan here in Boston 😂
Oh! if only you lived a bit nearer lol. Thanks very much for the offer though and thanks for watching. ATB, Helen & Dave
Hi Dave
Did you ever do a comparison between the Ronseal Grout Pen and the other one? If so, which was the best?
Thank you.
Hi Steve, to be honest, no I didn’t but I’ve continued to use the Ronseal One Coat grout pen. It’s not done a bad job and each year a coat on a coat makes it even better, so I’m just going to stick with it. Thanks for watching, always appreciated. Cheers, Helen & Dave 👍
