Lego Dimension is the saddest by far. And I think it was down to bad timing.. I dont even blame the "toys to life" aspect, but it was released at a moment where people were already tired of Disney Infinity. Still.. the idea of having cross overs and packages that were added through DLC is a great one, that should be revisited at some point. Maybe the rumored Disney game will be similar to that (only obviously focusing only on Disney IPs). We can only dream what a Lego Avatar, Shrek and Tintin would have been like.
Wait, there are rumours of a LEGO Disney game? I’ve been wanting that game for a while! I do wonder how they’d work in the songs, however. If they did end up making that game, what movies would you want to be represented?
@@knightofarkronia9968 supposedly, a developer commented in an article stating that they were working in a Disney game that would contain Nightmare Before Christmas, Mickey, Maleficent, Pirates of the Caribbean and etc.

Huh, not sure if I can imagine James Bond or Lara Croft being in a Lego game, but I’m still disappointed Year 3 of Dimensions never came through. Maybe what that game could have done with was more of the then recent blockbuster movies, like Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle. That would have been awesome!
That is true about Year 3 of Dimensions, but I have come to understand why it was cancelled, as it was at the time when toy-to-life had become a dead genre (Disney Infinity was ceased before Lego Dimensions, and some sets were not selling well.)
Although I would have loved to see how Lego Dimensions would have done a TMNT set, considering at the time, Mega Construx would get the rights to make building block sets based on the mean green radical teens.
The part that bums me out about year 3 getting cancelled was they were gonna make a Missy fun pack for the Doctor Who dimension, I would’ve loved a Lego Missy
James Bond is now possible since they recently released a licensed 007 DB5
@@mrcritical6751 Year 3 was also when we were supposed to get a Lord Vortech fun pack. They even had leaked voice lines for him too that you’d hear when he interacted with other characters.

I knew about the potential Expansion DLC for LEGO The Hobbit, but I never knew that others were also canceled.
I didn't know that there was a potential for that, that's such a disappointment that it never happened!
Hope TT game's make Lego Avengers 2 covering phase 3 events where they start from Captain America Civil War to Avengers Endgame .

definitely gutted by the loss of Lego Tomb Raider & Bond games....and I would have been all over Dimensions packs for TMNT & Avatar: TLA, though both deserve full Lego titles as well so here's hoping it's not a total loss.
If Lucasfilm wasn’t so salty towards Tomb Raider and Lara Croft then it would’ve happened and it’s not like they were the first ones to come up with the famed explorer/archeologist character type but Indiana Jones did popularize it while Lara Croft ran wild with it as she dominated the 90’s and early 00’s plus the game would’ve been a great way to introduce younger fans of Lego games to Tomb Raider

I find it weird that we never got a lego Spider-Man game with the Raimi trilogy considering how popular that franchise was….maybe one day we’ll get it with all the Spider-Man movies and finish it off with all of them together in No Way Home….

Back in the classic days maybe. But these days the lego games are more concerned about scale and bloating the games with all sort of tat. Quantity over quality.
I don't see them doing a spiderman-centric game over just making another Marvel lego title. And if they did, they would surely drown it out with so many characters and other stuff it would directionless

It is sad Year three for Lego Dimensions was cut short. I mean that gave us the first Lego Sonic. Plus it was hands down the best Toys-to-Life game since every minifig and build was designed to be used off the toy tag. I mean the doors on the tiny DeLorean opened! And that game got me into Portal! I got the Portal 2 pack on a whim but found I didn't understand how to navigate. So I ended up getting both games on Steam. I have put a lot more time into the Steam games than Dimensions. I even ordered extra parts on eBay to build my own Companion Cube. I found tricks for making a proper cube with no external studs showing. And I am glad to say it has never tried to stab me.
As a kid it annoyed me so much that the hobbit game didn’t have the last movie the game really did feel unfinished
they should do lego lord of the rings feat all three hobbit movies, just like they done with skywalker saga

I hate that they didn't finish or at least made the DLC for the Hobbit the battle of the five armies, I finish the game with Smaug flying to Laketown to destroy it and Bilbo saying "What have we done?" and then nothing, its over, WTF now the game just ends like this very unfinished end.

I find it funny that Lego James Bond was cancelled because of Casino Royale’s darker take, when Lego Dimensions has an expansion based on the first Mission Impossible film which in itself was a serious espionage thriller.

I definitely wanted the LEGO James Bond game, and to see the game gut wrenched from being realized when Casino Royale was released, makes me extremely upset as a diehard James Bond fan.

From those mentioned I really wanted a Lego 007 with all the movies, like the Lego Star Wars is, (instead of planets exploring the 25 movies) and with like 2 stages of each movie. And from dimensions would be awesome a Lego Scooby Doo, Ghostbusters or Simpsons

I heard about "Lego Racers: The Video Game". The game was supposed to be released sometime later, even if it didn't make a huge announcement, but was canceled in the end. I would have loved to play that game in how it would have turned out

The LEGO Hobbit DLC was never actually planned or announced. All the rumours traced back to a miscommunication by the fan site brick fanatics. I've spoken to members of the team at TT Games, and they confirmed the game was only ever going to include the 2 movies. The team that developed The Hobbit went immediately onto LEGO Batman 3 once the game shipped.

I totally would have played a LEGO James Bond game especially since I would make James Bond into a custom LEGO minifigure in almost every LEGO game there is with one based off of Daniel Craig's appearance in The Force Awakens in LEGO Star Wars The Force Awakens using a First Order Stormtrooper body with a regular male head with a flat blond hairpiece. But an official LEGO 007 game I totally would have played.
The lack of The Hobbit 3 content annoys me as that's one of my more liked games in the series.

I really like the idea of a Lego avatar The last Airbender video game I can imagine if you play as an avatar character like Aang, Roku, or kiyoshi, they can enter the spirit world to find blicks that are unseen too non avatar characters and they manifest in the real world or they can build up a special bar that activate the Avatar spirit increasing your damage to defeat enemies faster also gaining times two studs for a limited time.
James Bond was too “gritty?” That didn’t stop them from making Lord of the Rings and the Hobbit.
I wish we had the complete saga of Lego Harry Potter.
I was sad the Collection wasn’t the complete saga version like they did with Star Wars.

The thing that buffles me about the James Bond Lego game is that the Lego group could have created their own bond that took inspiration from all the bonds that came before and could have created a Lego James Bond universe of games. The LEGO Group please resurrect this idea.

Sure you can blame Casino Royale movie that change the tone of James Bond series and Lego had difficult to make James Bond game. But you can't dissagree Casino Royale was a great James Bond movie for the new era.
Although,they might can make Lego James Bond game with the torture scene make it slapstick or (dare i say..) make it like Peter Sallis Casino Royale torture. That's torture we're slapstick.
The hobbit is one of my favorite lego games and it makes me sad that they never finished it.
You can still play LEGO Dimensions, it’s not even cancelled in the traditional sense. It’s not an online game, and you can still have the option to buy more LEGO sets related to the game, so it shouldn’t be on this list.
Really annoyed that Bionicle: The Legend of Mata Nui never got released.
I very wish lego dimension live longer and the worlds i would like to see in it would be lego marvel, lego star wars, the lego ninjago movie, and lots more also update some worlds like the lego movie, lego dc, lego ghostbusters, lego ninjago, and lego doctor who

Makes me feel as though Lego should make a Middle Earth Saga game in the same vain as Star Wars. Just have the LOTR trilogy and the Hobbit Trilogy brought together in an open world Lego game. I’d love to play that game and I don’t think I’d be alone in playing it.
LEGO The Hobbit DLC is a yes as I would've brought it and played it, I would love to have played LEGO Dimensions as I have a few of the packs and two of the portal packs

There were Lego sets based on the Prince of Persia Sands of Time movie. Honestly, a Lego Prince of Persia game was a missed opportunity!

There actually were plans for a third island “hub” for year three that would’ve included an expansion pack for the CW’s flash TV show and there’s even a secret room that’s literally Star labs from the show. There would’ve also been a lord Vortech character that would’ve had all of the abilities, and even an actual Lego Minecraft pack, since Mojang and Lego had actual Lego Minecraft sets out at this time. It still makes me sad because I would have just died for a Lego flash expansion pack. I love that game. I’ll never forgive Warner bros for what they did to the hobbit, and George Lucas himself has always held a massive grudge against tomb raider because he himself actually felt that they just completely ripped off Indiana Jones. That man is simply built different.
It’s not like Lucasfilm was the first company to come up with the famed explorer/archeologists type of character but considering how Lara Croft in the 90’s and 00’s was massive and how she appeared in a bunch of commercials for PS and the Dreamcast as well as appearing on magazine covers reserved for real life celebrities and was also a spokesperson for many 90’s products such as cars, sodas, and even Visa credit cards it was safe to say that Indiana Jones was essentially living in her shadow and George probably hated how popular she became practically overnight when she was first introduced in 1996

I saved heaps of money by buying a bag of virtually every LEGO Dimensions figure tags from series 1 and 2 off a guy on EBay.

Lego Bond getting canned due to the new serious Bond makes no sense, with so many years of Bond before it to pick from there would have been at least 2 or 3 games worth of material to use & Bonds sometimes wierd gadgets would but perfectly into a Lego game, I expect there would even have been a joke about driving into an alley on 2 weel & coming out on the other 2. I'd certainly have bought it & any sequels if it didnt fit into one game, also the lack of an ending for The Hobbit was & still is very dissapointing
