Badr was trying to play mind tricks: he knew that Arek idolized him, so he showered him with compliments and praise during the first press conference. And then the just before the fight, he flips the script and treats him like trash. If you ask me, Badr tried to play psychological warfare: to lift Arek up and then throw him down so as to confuse him.
Too bad for him it didn't work, because he got knock out cold again.

Badr was successful because of height and physical ability. He has been bested by Sambit who is short from HW kickboxing standards, Now others… he is an okay fighter but nothing great.
Badr, is maybe the most devastating Heavyweight kickboxer in history, he had losses but always came back and beat the best like Semmy, Aerts, Overeem. The only thing I would say is he has always been suspected to taking hits and ko. So to any fighter, if you're still standing, you always have a chance against Hari.
