I gave up Facebook decades ago and Instagram 2yrs gave up my other youtube channel came back with a new name and account Im leaving again as well Social media has drained me completely emotionally and physically Thank you for sharing this 🙏 ❤️
I have a very small social media footprint. The reason? I studied it for years. I have a Facebook account that I use to keep in touch with family and old friends and I probably watch too much CZcams. That's about it.
@MsMaggieNolia when you start learning about how much tracking and data collection there is when you use social media, you realize that it's a bit creepy. I feel that CZcams is a great avenue to learn new things, but to also get connected to strangers, and build a sense of community with folks that you find intriguing, interesting, or fascinating
I'm also a Documentary person. Social media is so draining, I agree. I don't have anything but Facebook (and CZcams for those who count that, though I don't.) and the only reason I have Facebook is to keep contact with my blood family. I don't spend much time on it at alllll. I don't even watch TV. The world is exhausting and I'm just trying to get by every day. Glad to hear you'll be staying on CZcams for now. @DoodleBug84 we don't watch much TV, but when we do it's usually some sort of nature, history, or somewhat educational show. I'll be sure to film an update in the future regarding how it's going, what I've learned, and realized through disconnecting
I'm at the point where if I post a comment and I get an alert staying there's a response, I don't even bother reading it. Keeps me from reading any toxic responses. I don't know these people from Adam and before they responded to me I didn't even know they existed so why should their mean responses irritate me. But they do. A few minutes ago I didn't even know they existed. I get where you're coming from.
