I just purchased platinum membership. Was at sea world San Diego yesterday. I sure miss the Pets Rule show. It was so good. So funny. Hope they find another one similar.
I thought sea world had stopped the Shamu shows?
They stopped the shows that were aimed to entertain you but now, instead try to educate you about the orcas
it’s veiled as education but come on they are still there for the profit.
@@leftfinned Well yes, the parks are private companies and need to make a profit so they can not only stay in business but also continue to care for their animals at the level we expect them too. Also, the shows are quite educational. You should go sometime, the trainers and staff will be happy to talk to you about it.
They agreed to not continue to breed them I believe.
The two really big ones are Corky, and Ulysses. I don't think they perform anymore. They just kinda bob there. They are 50 to 60 years old, and some of the last remaining Orcas that were actually captured from the Ocean as babies and not born in captivity. The youngest one at Sea World is 11. Makani. He will likely be the last living Orca at Sea World. This will take another 40 to 50 years apparently.
Too bad you don’t see any polar bears in the Wild Arctic exhibit anymore.

The one thing I don’t like about sea world are that the dolphins 🐬 and the orcas whales should be in the open oceans I bet the orcas whales rather take down a great white shark then be stuck in a tank there are other ways to educate people about Orcas I mentioned this on my old channel that I deleted thought I just make a new comment.
The whales are fine, and Blackfish lied to you. They wanted to build bigger habitats for them but when California refused to let them without phasing out the orcas they didn't do it, and eventually caved to the activists who will never set foot in the park anyway.
I miss the old seaworld shows thats both entertainment and educational

They put these ones in the ocean and they die. Plain and simple. Free Willy isn't real.
