If you kept Ariel Hanson around and go and talk to her after this mission she confirms that Nova was lying and there's no basis of her accusations.
So Tosh was honest after all. Huh, I've always took Nova's side, Tosh scares me.

Funny, cuz Nova still screws Raynor over in HotS while Tosh is willing to help.

Dominion Ghosts used to have their memory wiped and brainwashed with both Dominion propaganda and ideals. Soooooo yeah, it's no wonder why Nova would lie, more so when she's their top assassin. A true lap dog. Tosh was to have his memory wiped too but it failed, which is what gave him his milky white eyes. He and Nova used to be intimate. There's a comic of that.
So yeah, Tosh is best choice. Stick with him brotha.
Considering Raynor’s personality I think Tosh is the canon decision. Same with finding the cure for the infected.
There both canon actually when you connected to the hots. If you chose tosh in hots the dialogue will say that tosh will willing to help Jim get out of prison. If you chose Nova in hots she will not save you on the first mission and she was lying and in the mission where you need to save jim in prison Matt honor will say that Ghost protocol is ready instead of tosh. So yes both are canon
Blizzard has stablish something called A cannon as a reference to this optional siding missions, basically if ever need or want to have a timeline you want to use as a reference for the story, just asume that all the A options on the siding missions are the general cannon. Basically the canon is.
Raynor helps Tosh and he and his Spectres remain with the Riders permanently.
Raynor helps Ariel to protrct the colony of New Heaven and Ariel creates a vacine (Not a cure) That prevents the infestation from spreading any further and Ariel remain in Heaven.
Raynor chose to destroy the Zerg aerial support on Char
Blizzard also specified that this canon is not an absolute canon because if you want to side with a diferent character you have all the right to choose another canon and stick to that canon. The A canon is basically a guide to establish a timeline

As far as I understood it Dr Ariel was using the colonist as guinea pigs for her experiment as Tosh mentioned it is strange that her colony is constantly being infested
Also afaik there is no cure for the zerg virus as it mutates really fast and is constantly evolving in a celular level as mentioned by Dr Ariel herself ln the previous mision and by stepmans analysis of the zerg samples

Like, if you are infested you are already screw but if theee is no Zerg biomatter infecting you yet then you are safe

Also in game dialog were refering it to a zerg cure, not a zerg vaccine
I sided with the protoss here , hell it took an ancient Xelnaga artifact and Narud's intervention to revert Kerrigan back to human form.
I sincerely doubt a zerg cure or vaccine could actually be made

Spectres is much more useful than Ghost. Especially against a charging Ultralisk

Love the warning Tychus gives to Raynor at the beginning. Not sure if it's his final warning to old bro, or just a way to push suspicions onto somebody else, because "he's such a good friend he remembered to warn you".
Could be both. Somewhere in WoL, Tosh mentioned something about Tychus mentally grinding himself which led him to act unusually violent in the bar.
@@SimplyDuker actually if u take a look at it again, he was literally putting himself on the chopping board for the raiders. He saw that the raiders themselves were questioning raynor, and pretended to be drunk to act as the common enemy for the group to shit on since they were all already distrustful of him.

Tosh doesn't make a very compelling arguement to why he's not gonna turn into a psycho.
Ghosts and spectres both have their use. Spectres have more powerful abilities, Ghosts can nuke from a greater distance and can also spam snipe like a machine gun in groups if you bind the keys correct. In a pack they deliver far better single damage than spectres ever could. But, also the area stun is very useful so your choice.
You forget is area stun+damage
if ghosts and spectres can join together, they will forge unified cloak

Like if that Prison was in use before Mengsk it also must have real criminals, and because we are talking about isolated prison planet, those people werent there for littlw crimes.

They probably did release all sorts of legitimate criminals, as well as some political prisoners.
In both case you are right, the prision did have some real criminals there, however before the Dominion the prision was under the management of the Confederacy so altought the prision did contain really dangerous people, is most likely that considering the corrupt nature of the two goverments that administrated the prision, I am incline to say that is most likely that the prision was like.

Spectres are more unstable than ghosts. They can have a different skillset too. If a Ghost is a Psychic assasin , the specres are psychic infiltrators their skillset isn't to kill one person , but to debilitate forces and crush small units. Also Ghosts have better senses than spectres. (Tosh didn't notice Nova , when she killed him)
Btw I still think Nova is the better choice , siding with Tosh Raynor gets a bit depressed and gets accociated with terrorists , rightly I might add.

Mensk was using raynor to kill Kerrigan. Menks hubris keeps him from killing raynor. He believes he can use anyone and is above surprises or miscalculations.

I had an idea if starcraft 3 is ever going to happen one day, new hero units aside from the main characters.
The new heroes will be stationed at your base every mission.
One of my examples is a unit that will become available if you maxed out the terran research in the laboratory.

- a hybrid supersoldier that was freshly crossbred between a spectre and a ghost.
He was designed to be better than every other soldier in raynor's arsenal.
No one in the regiment is quite sure if he is a spectre or a ghost, but what is certain
Is that he is very loyal and a very expert tactician with the sole purpose of taking on small armies
Solo whilst also completing the most crucial of missions when things are getting desperate.
He excels in long range & close combat (particularly rifles, explosives, & throwing knives).
Being half spectre means that he also has the psionic abilities that a spectre has while
He has the professional stealth & great range of a ghost.
Overall, he is a deadly fighter on the front lines that is willing to accept any mission
No matter the severity of the campaign.
Whenever I play sc2 in this campaign I choose my crew over outsiders. Ariel over Protoss. Tosh over Nova. Tychus over warfield. Because we all agreed to come together against a common threat
Even wondered why in the Mobius attack on Korhal, they use Spectres than Ghost? The thing is Spectre is much more powerful.
I understand now when Jim said it's not for the like of us 10:13. That means those freedom and better future are for the next generations. Jim knows that he and Tosh are too far to stop for vengeance against Mengsk.
loved the cutscene if you sided with Nova, it was hilarious. But I always sided with Tosh
I like Tosh over Nova, but the Ghosts are just so much more useful than the spectres in the final mission.
I use neither on brutal
My favorite way of beating them when you have to fight against the flyers is mass ghosts. The ghosts in upgraded bunkers outrange broodlords.
The final mission on brutal is too easy when you take out the flyers IMO, you just need mass tanks and you win no matter what.
I used spectres to AoE stun enemy units on brutal.
Psionic lash against an Ultralisk mate.. it could now down a bunker with 6 marines defending it
nah man, psionic blast deal 200 damage to take down kerrigan before she even touch my marines in the bunker, ghost snipe only 45, but still snipe is alot faster
