    Wiring
    White with black stripe: Ground
    Green: Tail light
    Blue: Brake light
    Yellow: Turn signal
    Use 22-24 gauge quick splices. I used 18-20 gauge and had to use considerable force to get them to bite into the wires.

      Those colors....are they for the LED lights that you are adding or the color on the Original Toyota Wiring harness ?

      What gauge are the wires for the led reflector?

    • @ickytwitch
      @ickytwitch  Před 4 lety

      Sorry, can't say for sure without opening my car back up, but i remember the lights having similar guage as the car wires. The smaller quick splice should work for both.

    Great video! Just wondering where you bought the center tail light?

    • @ickytwitch
      @ickytwitch  Před 5 lety +1

      Ebay. They're available in several different lighting patterns. (I had mine tinted at a body shop.) Here's an example

    I'm going to have these installed by a professional to match the one's I had put on the front. Do they act as a turn signal blinker?

    • @ickytwitch
      @ickytwitch  Před 2 lety +1

      It can act as a turn signal if you connect it to a turn signal wire.

    Good explanatory video, but it would be 100x better if you had recorded the whole process..... I want to change the tail lights to the euro ones. They look way better!!

      You're a master of hindsight, Master Wrong. Unfortunately I just never thought about it until the job was done.

    how you were able to turn the brake light on without being inside the car and not having a second person to apply the brake?

    • @ickytwitch
      @ickytwitch  Před 3 lety

      I just propped something up against it. Movie magic...

    I just installed some similar lights and the pre collision warning is on it won’t turn off 💀 help?

    • @ickytwitch
      @ickytwitch  Před 4 měsíci +1

      Sorry, this is over my head, I'm not a mechanic. Newer models may also have features that mine didn't.
      its possible that you bumped and misaligned a sensor somewhere.

    Shame you didn't record the whole thing

  • @edgarpachecoherrera8254

    Do you know how to install the front day lights? Not the fog lights

    • @ickytwitch
      @ickytwitch  Před 4 lety

      The front lights I bought Look like the should pop right in from the inside, but they do not fit right. They need to be trimmed, and I'm not sure you can tell how to trim them without removing the bumper. I never installed mine.

    Can you explain the wiring a bit more.

    • @ickytwitch
      @ickytwitch  Před 4 lety +1

      See my comment above for wire colors for the Toyota harness. Every after market light might be different. So what you'll want to do is first connect ground to the car. This is probably black. Then take a live wire from the car and start touching them to the different wires on your light to see what lights up. Get yourself a cheap volt meter so you can tell when a wire is live.

    • @ickytwitch
      @ickytwitch  Před 3 lety +2

      Sorry I couldn't hold your hand through the whole process. Hold on a sec while I get that car back from the dealership, rip everything out, and do it again.

    So here is a video filmed at night with just explaining what he did without actually doing it! No help

    • @ickytwitch
      @ickytwitch  Před 5 lety +4

      I posted this video because I found no instructions anywhere on the internet at the time. I had already completed the job but figured it was better than nothing. The job is simple and if you follow my instructions, they will help. Or you can ignore me, go figure it out on your own, waste a bunch of time, and make your own video.

    Too much work. I rather take the bumper out.
