Beebom is right. Never unsubscribe spam emails. If you do, that will make them know your account is active and you’ll get spammed even more.
Just stop interacting with spam mails & calls. Stay away from questionable sites & try not to give your details to any site unless really necessary.
Governments should act more against spammers and scammers. Govt should increase fines & try to earn by punishing them. Good incentive.

Fun fact, spam doesn't allow you to unsubscribe. It's called spam for a reason.

Unsubscribing from SPAM actually subscribes you to other SPAM. They now know this is a legitimate current working email address.
Fun fact, actual spams don't have the unsubscribe link now a days
A lot of the unsubscribe links in spam tell them your a real account, and you're put on a spam list.

This is not a hidden feature, but still a clever way to search for marketing emails, (but just have to be careful since not all emails that contain the word are marketing/spam mails)
Filter or re-directing emails to Trash or Archive Folder doesn't mean Unsubscribe.

@@Hznyc Bad actors bulk send bad emails, ok. And when they put a "unsubscribe" link in the email, it's usually has a unique identifier for your email. So when you click unsubscribe, either by the link, or tell GMail to unsubscribe, it's basically sending a message to the bad actors that you clicked that link, and you get your email address added to a email list.

Rather take some time and unsubscribe them one by one , one time effort but there will be no incoming email in the first place.
The unsubscribe link usually leads to a dead link for me. So can't really do that
