You are a true hero, like the Jesus of plumbing. Thanks for showing the product packaging of the new seal.
Suffering from an ailment on my leg that requires soaking and i havent been able to. I owe you my life sir.
You helped yourself and that’s the greatest gift you can give yourself. I’m just glad I could provide a visual. Cheers my friend!
thank you so much for this!!! i was wondering where the hell all my bath water was going 😂
nice video! I was struggling to remove the rusted spring part. All I actually need is a new seal👏
Sweet! Way to go.
Straight and to the point. Thanks for the video.
The washer came today and I tried all different ways to get it to stop draining the tub UNTIL I went back and re-watched your simple explanation. Who knew there were so many ways to put on this washer but only ONE THAT WORKS. Thank you and Thank CZcams!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Yes! Glad this helped out. I ran into the same confusion replacing mine so I figured this video would help others.
Thank you, I needed that cause my bath stopper was not working in my hallway bathroom 😊
Thank you. Easy to understand and straight to the point.
This helped thank you!! I didnt know those rubber parts were supposed to be there and someone took them out so i found them and put them back on and it seals now (:
This helped! I thought there was 2 rubber rings, and it turns out that there is supposed to be one, and mine is broke, like this one!
Glad to hear this was able to help you! I appreciate the comment.
I had the same problem....Thank you for this video
Bless you. I have spent hours trying to fix this.
Yay! So glad this helped out.
Thank you so very much!
Whew! Thank you soooooo much
Thank you!
Thank you.
No gasket in mine or the replacement, just the rubber seal.
Thank you. With this type of stopper, how you do remove it to unclog?
After you take off the cap, use a large screwdriver to loosen the entire white piece. You have to use a lot of force to get it loose. After you unscrew it, I use an old wire clothes hanger and bend it to make a fishing hook on one end. When you screw it back on, remember to tighten it hard so it seals good.
Hi anyone having trouble with the rubber curl up instead on sealing the drain? Even i bought a new rubber still have the issues and of course each brand has different size which is harder to replace the whole stopper.
Mine curls up as well, but seals when I push down the cap. Just ensure the cap and the entire stopper is screwed on all the way. See if that seals it. I get your frustration though with the different sizes. Very frustrating. Best of luck!

I want to know how I can put the parts back together
Not sure I understand. The video shows how to assemble the parts.
i am having the same problem but my gasket is still only one piece
You can still try replacing the gasket. Sometimes old gaskets lose their seal even if they don’t break in half like mine did.
How did you know it was a Lasko part?
I didn’t. It was just the part they had on hand at my local hardware store. There are probably other parts that work the same. It’s just a rubber gasket.
I cant take the cap off. I 🙁
Try just turning the top cap or pull up when turning. Turn counter clockwise as well.
Sooo what happens when my drain won't seal but the cause isn't a broken seal?
If you have this style of drain plug, and you’ve already tried replacing the seal, you may need a whole new drain plug. I’ve replaced a sink drain plug but never a bathroom drain. Anyone here have any advice?
@@imag33 wow I wasn't really expecting a reply so I guess I should provide more context. My issue is that when I click it to close the drain, the plug does not go low enough. If that makes sense ? Even when it's in the closed position, it is not sealed down
@@SirHellaDope The only reason I made this video is to help people, so of course I’ll reply! let me look into a little more and see if I can’t reproduce it on mine. I’ll be back….
@SirHellaDope (love the name btw) You can try to tighten down the large brass screw in the middle after you unscrew the cap. That's what removes the whole drain plug. Use a large flat screwdriver to ensure it's tightened down. Then put on the rubber seal, largest side facing down, and tighten the cap all the way. If it still isn't pushing far enough to seal, you might need a new cap or a new drain plug. Good luck my friend! Lets us know what you find out.
hahaha great !
You are a gentleman and a scholar. Many thanks.
Thanks fuzzy cat butts!
