Saw them in Charlotte NC July '95 about a month before this. They opened with this song and everybody went absolutely insane. I honestly wasn't expecting such a big pit to break out.
I saw them do an in-store performance at Tower Records in Chicago right before their second album (Wax Ecstatic) was released. I met them and they signed my liner notes copy of Rotting Pináta. They were super nice. Such an under appreciated band. They fuckin' rock!!
I love this band so much, the line up with Joey and the Cross brothers. Vinnie is such an amazing vocalist, such a fascinating frontman. He had such an impact on me. I never forget the 2 shows I saw them in 1995 in The Netherlands. I already had their album and it's still one of my all time favorite albums.
They played rotting pinata in sellersville a few weeks ago at the very end and I was in the front row and you could tell how much fun Vinnie was having singing it🤣
I liked the symbol "Satan lives", when he puts the two fingers right on his forehead. If someone is talking about alternative Rock in the early 90s... Ladies n gentlemen SPONGE...!!! Greetings from La Paz-Bolivia
The whole album Rotting Pinata was such a unique sound. Never reproduced. One of a kind. Amazing.
Excellent take my friend. Absolutely 100% agree.!
It was. They re-recorded it in 2022
These guys are still awesome to listen to!! Each and every one gives it their all , just listen to them!!! One of the best bands of all time.!!

From their interviews they seemed like really down to earth guys who were just trying something out and experimenting.

They were in The Netherlands? Damn! Such a shame is was born way too late for that!
Tijs Primo saw them at the Melkweg and Lowlands festival. I think the only time they played here.
Frank de Heer Nice! What do you think of Wax Ecstatic and New Pop Sunday?
This tune was way better then plowed or Molly 16 candles in my opinion. Highly underrated!! Sponge rocks
So appropriate he is wearing a Stones UK t shirt because this song is so punk rock
Such a huge & smooth sound booming this tiny guy... Beautiful voice amplifies his already commanding stage presence. Nice upload thanks
that always has amazed me how such a huge voice can emit from such a tiny human form.

Never seen this performance! Love the Beverly Hillbillies reference! 😂 Great band.
Surf Wisely.
Beverly hillbilly's theme song 😂😂😂😂 I miss the 90s
This song is killer. Supposedly about GG Allin
You’d be correct
👍👍👍💕 love thing song!
The Beverly hillbillies theme song add in was fucking great!
Seems as Vinnie had a little bit of Vince Neil in his annunciation during this show.
You can’t compare the two. Neil was 101 times worse
